Would You As Pastor allow Homosexuals To Frolic In Your Church?

Vermont has just okayed what they call "same sex mariages". It is very sad that we humans who are supposed to be the most intelligent creatures on earth, dont even understand or appreciate the sacred purpose of marriage. The reason why God instituted marriage is for reproduction, plus nothing, minus nothing. The sole reason why we are created male and female, or exibit some form of sexuality is to reproduce. If we didnt have to reproduce after our kind, we wont have any devices for sex. Angels dont reproduce and as such are sexless beings. Everything else God put on earth comes in pairs of male and female. Even birds know this. Have you ever gone bird-watching and seen two male birds weaving a nest and trying to raise a family?
You dont have to be a rocket scientist in order to understand that another man's behind was neither designed by God nor evolution for sex. The anus is not a sexul organ, period. So that if you want to use a body feature designed to accomplish one task for a completely senseless one then there is something wrong with your perception. You are like the man who sees a deer and calls it an elephant. Something is wrong upstairs!! What is the purpose of a so called same sex marriage. Sexual pleasure so they speak. But pleasure is not the purpose for sex.The pleasure part is secondary. God made sex pleasurable, why? Because if it had felt like surgery, you would have to hold a gun to your partner's head to have children. Homosexuals have taken the "purpose" out and are going gang-ho after the "pleasure".WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT PLEASURE-SEEKING IN THE LAST DAYS?
As A pastor the only way I would allow a homosexual in my congregation if they understand that homosexuality, just all other deviations , is wrong and they came to church to seek help like all of us do. But if a homosexual shows up in church all cocky and full of gay pride and trying to peddle his ware in the church, I will chase him out with a baseball bat!!! lol!
You just said "wow, he hates homosexuals!", right? Wrong. As a pastor you cant hate anybody because of their sin.It will be like a Doctor hating a patient because the latter has a form of cancer the Doctor dreads. But if the patient tells the Doc, "Leave my cancer a lone. I was born with it, and I am proud of it." Well, then get out of the hospital! I dont hate homosexuals, I hate homosexuality. You dont hate the sinner, you hate the sin. You have to hate the sin enough to be able to help the sinner. On the other hand if you love the sin, you yourself might just get caught up in it.I consider it a disgrace to the human race that we allow behavior that even some animals shy away from.

You're welcome. I love a good debate, but it has to end well with everyone coming away with something.

Now what did you mean by versions? Like the NLT, KJV, Interlinear Bible (my fav), NIV (my least fav)?
Brother Greene take a look at this link. When you get the page just click on the page to enlargen the page and words for reading.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not....John 1:10-14 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Exactly
Eric I've done some extensive study on bible versions and you and I know full well that God is perfect the first time each and everytime. There were reasons God chose certain languages to translated to but it was still the same Words. Hebrew Root believers will say differently and others will say we needed to put it in our language today. I will impaticly say that they were not inspired by God to write these and if you provide me with your email I will send you some information. I can go to your email here and send you something to view. I'll just say that practically every modern version uses Westcott and Hort's message that comes from Alexandria, Egypt the Papyrus Mss. and not from Antioch, Syria the Peshitta Mss. Alexandria was the beginning of every false doctrine, philosophy intellectuals and sects there were.
I would half to agree to a certain extent here. I too have done extensive studies on Church History, the scriptures and the adjustments of ministry offices (from 5-Fold to Bishops Elders and Deacons), and the adjustment of the Canon of the N.T. books that were disregarded (so called lost books such as Enoch, and Epistles of Ignatius, but not including false gospels like Mary and Thomas) and the like.

The thing that stands out to me is this: I regard the interlinear as a better translation than that of the KJV. There were literally additions and adjustments in the KJV simply because of the understanding of the people at that day, the flaws of understanding the culture, and the literal lack of communication between the council of translators (yes, I studied that too, and it was a hectic process of translating in English!). For example, the KJV does not regard Titus, Timothy or certain others as Apostles, yet the Greek word Apostolos is used for them, the name of YHWH is remove hundreds of times, ect. The KJV is a great translation, but ENGLISH IS A MMUT, and therefore, no English translation is perfect.
I have something for you Trevor but not on this thread. I've gone through this with many other Hebrew Roots believers. It's like the Catholic that give everyone they feel like the title of Saint. I believe Jesus only made 12 Apostles and one of them rebeled and they had to put another in his place. The rest were disciples even though Paul was personally called by the Ascended Christ on the road to Damascus. Peter and the others knew the Earthly Christ (before He ascended). I still don't believe Titus or Timothy were Apostles but ordained by the Apostle Paul. Anyway let's you and I discuss this. I'll email you some things in your email here and we can communicate that way. Everyone likes to discredit the English translation as though God didn't know what He was doing when He had it translated and let's stick with the Hebrew or Greek when Hebrew to Greek isn't going to say the same thing per se because of word differences but His Word was kept in Greek as well. Trust me I"ve heard anything you can throw at me and about HIs name being changed. If you have something different I'll be surprised. Thanks.
As far as the ministry office of the Apostle, you do error greatly there. There way more than twelve in the Bible. One of the requirements of an Apostle was that they had seen the risen LORD. To be a member of the council of the 12, you had to have walked with HIM from the time HE started to the time of HIS death, and few had that. An Apostle is called and chosen by CHRIST. The office has not changed or stopped in the least, because JESUS still shows HIMSELF to people today. The very word Apostolos used for Paul, Peter and the rest was used for Timothy, Titus, James, and others.

Now what do you mean by "Hebrew Roots"?

HIS name being changed was in reference to LORD being added to the scriptures instead of YHWH.
It always amazes me that a topic can start and 15 pages later... the responses have very little to do with the initial topic. LOL

Then that is the nature of a "lively" discussion isn't it?
LOL!! We'll get back to it....sooner or later
Nothing new under the sun...LOL
when one conversation is dying out another comes in,,LOL,,so much to talk about in the ministry..NEVER a dull moment..LOL
I find it interesting that we can have such HEATED debates and strong opinions about things that have NOTHING to do with evangelizing the world by spreading the Gospel to the non-believer.

While we bicker amongst ourselves, our neighbor is starving for The Truth, The Way and The Life as they are merely dead men and women walking in darkness yearning for The Lightof Christ to shine through us... His ambassadors. They won't come to us because we are too busy bickering about who God will use to do what in which position or who is who in the kingdom.

I laugh because the disciples were WALKING WITH THE LORD and bickering about who will be FIRST in the kingdom. That's what these kinds of conversations reminds me of. I bet it give our Lord and Savior a bit of a tickle as well.

I tend to stay away from such merry-go-round discussions because as you see... we are on page 25 and the discussion hasn't really glorified the Father but exalted our own "knowledge" of the scriptures. LOL

I wonder how a homosexual would feel about the topic as well as about how the pages and pages and pages of debate that mirrors that of the philosphers on Mars Hill. Will such draw them to Christ or send them running to a religion that won't teach truth but will offer acceptance with no life changing truth. The Holy Spirit and the Word of God is what changes people more than a baseball bat. Set biblical standards, dust you feet of those who don't accept the Gospel and welcome those who want to know more...no matter what. You could be approached by a person who is flamboyant in their homosexual practices yet in their heart they really want to know the Lord... but you...looking at the outside are ready to stone them...God... seeing their heart says ye without sin sling the first bat. When you are led by His Holy Spirit to swing a bat, then I say... BATTER UP!!! Other than that, be the pitcher, be the catcher, be the umpire, be way out in left field if that is where HE wants to put you for the sinner that is stuck out there in a same sex marriage. The Temple is now YOUR body.... the temple of the Holy Spirit is YOUR body. God's word will never go forth and return empty. It is not often that you have to run a person out of the church when the Word is going forth uncompromisingly. The Holy Spirit will convict. And believe me... if they don't like it... .THEY will leave. You want to swing a bat... I say swing a SWORD! A bat bruise the skin and break the bone... but the Sword will cut to the marrow and beyond!!!

Is there a round table discussion on how to use this network to further the kingdom? Is there a roundtable discussion on how we can come together as ONE BODY FITLY JOINED TOGETHER to evangelize the lost? Can we get together on ways to yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit???

Or do we prefer to stay on Mars Hill discussion after discussion after discussion after discussion.
