I say no! All sin seperates us from a loving God. It was out of His love for us that he died on a cross and crucified all sin paying it's debt. Homosexuals are not hated by God and they are not hated by me. The sin they are in is no different than the sin that I struggle with day to day. Be careful about hate, it will eat you from the inside out. Love people, all people the way Christ loves you and me.

Sin is always death. The sin of homosexuals comes with horrible consequences. So does the sin of drunkeness and idolitry and so the list goes on and on. Jesus is the solution and the salvation for all men and for all sin. Thius may not be popular, but standing for Christ and resting in His word has never been the most popular thing to do. Love your neigbor is not a choice. Hate the sin love the sinner is what I have been told.

There r two types of sinning : by Ignorance and willfully.Num 15:27 And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.
Num 15:28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
Num 15:29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
Num 15:30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Num 15:31 Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him. Notice the person that sinned Presumptuously or (WILLFULLY),There was no
sacrifice done for them,or prayer, they were cute off. Jew or gentile (stranger)The answer a willful SIN also in Hebrews :
Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
As church folks, there is a tendency to focus on the visual, obvious sins.

Girls who get pregnant out of wedlock, get it.
Women and men who do not attempt to hide their fornication catch it.

But lying deacons and preachers get off easy.

Where is that in the scripture that the sins you can see outweigh the sins done in the dark?
Yes according to the scriptures there is a sin that leads to death...this death is I believe as the second death, eternal separation from the Father (blasphemy of the Holy Spirit) (Read Matthew 12:31-32) reason being is because whomever has rejected the power of God unto Salvation, thus cannot be saved... also read… (Mark 3:28-29) Unpardonable Sin
Wilson,

The unforgivable transgression of the law is taking Yahuweh's name in vain(Exodus 20:7). He will not hold one guiltless who takes his name in vain. This teaching is exactly what Jesus is referring to.
Sin is sin all carry somthing that God allready knew thats why He sent Jesus to take it to the cross, all sins, sad as it is most don't know how many sins are record in the Bible, and there are more than 10, and they are all sin, some just carry a pay me now and some pay me later, and we( people) have some that we think are not as bad as other, that why God has to be the judge, because we can't see the hearts of men and as allways we getting it wrong..
some say the sin of unbelief is worse than any other sin.... why do you think this is so?
I agree....there is no sin greater than sin itself. (smile)
Hey, I have an idea, let's list ALL the sins that can possibly be committed and rate them according to degree of death.

Here's the rating scale:

1 - bad death
2 - really bad death
3 - really really bad death
4 - immediate disintegration *POOF*

Hmmm, I wonder how long it will take to list every possible sin that mankind could commit both in word, deed and thought????

Likewise, is it really something worth spending time on... you know.. being more sin-conscious than faith/holy living/hopeful/salvation-conscious. I mean which would bring life to you... focusing on the sin that so easily besets folk or bringing the Light of life into a sinfully dark world?

John 8:12
Jesus said, I am the Light of the world
Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness
but will have....

the Light of life!!!

So, we could be like our fellow Hebrew brethren of old and focus on the list of commandments (both positive and negative ones) and wonder which is the GREATEST of commandments or in this case the greatest or worst sin....

OR

We could ...

Love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves and therefore FULFILL the whole sha-bang!

The choice is yours.

WANNA MAKE A LIST AND SEE HOW FAR THE RABBIT HOLE GOES???
Sin is SIn
a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Sin by any other description or title is... sin.
Praise God for you John Hosey.
You have been consistently "Right On" in you remarks. Those who differ from what you are saying are not fully understanding or accepting God's divine plan of salvation. Without accepting Jesus Christ, we are bound to endure the penalty of sin which is eternal damnation. But when we accept Jesus Christ, we are covered by His blood. Which means the punishment of death that we all deserve [because we were all born in sin] we are spared, because when God looks at us, He sees the blood of His Son. There is such a thing as disobedience. Where ever we fall short, that's sin. Commission or Omission, it's still sin. No need to try to categorize any of it. Some of the questions or comments that you have received; in my opinion, have dealt with earthly consequences or circumstances. While others deal more with eternal consequences or death.
The list of consequenses to sin here on earth are many and that's only multiplied by the list of variables and complexities of one behaviors. There are only two eternal consequences to sin and they are death or life through accepting Jesus Christ.

Mark 3:29 - But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation. I quote this scripture because many are using it without fully understanding what it means. I urge everyone to do what preachers have been doing for years, which pray for illumination, study for approval, seek God's face and search for an experience mentors. Get as much help as you need. From study bibles to concordances to online tools; research and try the spirit by the spirit. A good dictionary will tell you most of the meanings of the word blaspheme. Then you would read the verse, backup and read the chapter; Read the previous chapter and then the following chapter, if need be. When you are done reading, studying, meditating and praying about what you've read; there should be no doubt as to who is speaking-Who they are speaking too-What they are talking about-Why they are talking about it and what they mean.

Mark 3:29 - But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation. In this verse, Jesus is talking to the Scribes and Pharisees who were claiming that He [Jesus Christ] was not who He said he was. They rejected Him and what He was doing. Their rejection of Jesus was disrespectful, slanderous, irreverent and offensive to say the least. To say the most, it was blasphemous. When they said he was operating in black magic [beelzebub] Matthew 12:24 - But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And so after all these kinds of rejection of His divine duty and purpose, he said that there is a sin that cannot be forgiven. And that would be the sin of rejecting Him.BLASPHEME HIS SPIRIT- Rejecting the The Holy Spirit, which is the only way one can be save] This should be self explanitory why this sin cannot be forgiven when the the SINNER rejects the the FORGIVER. Help us to understand Your Word Lord.

Thanks John and others who understand that Jesus Chris is the only way. When He saved the thief on the cross, it meant He can save who society says is the best or the worst of us. Be encourage and Study,
Pray, and Meditate on the Word of God. There is a world of sinners who are trying to get in through their good works. Works determine your wittness and your reward. Let's not get it twisted. Jesus is the only Way.
There is no sin meter in Heaven nor in the Bible. The only sin that is mentioned as a true irratation to God is Blasphemy. I believe that is part of the problem today. Too many people think they are exempt from judgment based on what they are doing and what others are doing. What is a sexual offender? Anyone that is sleeping with someone that isn't their husband or wife. What is a criminal? A liar, backbiter, gossiper, thief or anyone that is not doing what God requires us to do as Christians - feed the hungry, clothe the naked, house the homeless, visit the sick and imprisioned. What is a repeat offender? Anyone that has asked God more than once for forgiveness? These things will send you to hell and should people start paying attention to the plank in their eyes and not the speck in their brother's this world would be a better place to live and God would truly be pleased. Be blessed and stay positive Minister Deidra Brown
