For the past few days I have been in several "heated fellowships" surrounding this issue of rights for homosexuals vs. heterosexuals. My questions: should citizens of the United States who are homosexual have the same rights as citizens of the United States who are heterosexuals? Should Christian belief be forced upon an individual? Is it or should it be an issue of just basic civil liberties?...i.e. they have the right to marry simply because they too are citizens? What about the United States will change if same-sex marriages are legalized when there is so much other sin abounding in this great country of ours? Should it only be look upon from a christian viewpoint?

Well I'll just say this plain in simple, the family structure is breaking down already. If you allow homosexual couples the "right" to marry you destroy the fabric of what God has designed. You open up this floodgate tust me you open many others. People try to make it seem like "Oh, its legal in this country and that country and they are doing okay" but little is said about how in Canada they have people pushing to legalize poligamy and there reasoning is "if homosexuals are allowed this right why not us?" This is not just a Christian belief also, with respect to the 3 major faiths in the world (Judahism, Christianity, and Islam) all believe in the marriage of man and woman.

Most divorced heterosexuals who remarry will be committing adultery, and they will also be living in the sin of adultery as long as they remain in that new marriage.


If Christian heterosexuals can legally live in a sinful marriage, then why can't the homosexuals?


As a matter of fact, the Bible spoke more about the sin of adultery than it did about the sin of homosexuality. So why do most Christians consider the sin of homosexuality much greater than the sin of adultery?


Shouldn't the homosexuals have the same rights to pick and choose which parts of the Bible to follow as the heterosexuals?

So your theroy basically is "if its good for the goose then its good for the gander"? Since one side doing wrong let the other side do wrong to because that would only be fair?

I noticed that you didn't underline the adulterers, nor the fornicators.
I don't have to underline, it is already written. Trust I'm just as hard on adultery, lying, gluttony, fornicating as well as homosexuality among other things that go contrary to God's Word. The topic was about homosexuality. Trust ain't no hypocrisy in me, oh wretched man that I am.....I'm convicted by all kinds of sin that lives in me everytime I open up God's Word. The only difference from me compared to you, is that I don't excuse nor compromise sin.

I do not believe in legislating morality, we as the body of Christ need to minister the gospel and lift up the Name of Jesus, That will change hearts! God does not force anyone to accept him, HE wants us to come to HIM of our own freewill.

As Christians we are to vote our conscious and have faith in God. And stop trying to MAKE folks saved with laws, but witness the gospel, and allow it to compel them to come.

God is faithful to forgive us all our sins, adultery, homosexuality, lying, and gossiping....

I haven't noticed too many Christians speaking out against remarriage after divorce....which according to Jesus is adultery. Why is that?
Please don't put me in that cheap bag....Trust I"m a minority among minorities...LOL I'm not the Joel Osteen nor the TD (one verse) Jakes type.....The only way to get your daily persecution and gift of suffering is to preach and teach the whole counsel of God, including giving up all to follow Him if we want to be His Disciples which is never preached. Global missions never preached... Abortion in the black "cherch" is never preached...I could go on and on and on.......Last thing I am is LUKEWARM.
Then how does so many sermons on abortion equate to voting for a president who will go down as the abortion president? Not saying not one, but very few are preaching against abortion and about Global as well as local missions which is the mission of the church and the Bible. Its not a side ministry that competes with the building fund. Lets build the Kingdom and forsake the earthly buildings which will not one brick be standing soon.
