Does the Grace of God give Christians a license to justify their sin? What was Paul trying to convey when he stated "where sin abounds, grace does that much more abound?" Are Christians truly seeking a way out of their sin? Are Christians truly seeking to be holy as the Father is holy? My perception of many Christians that I encounter is one of justification..."its okay because God hasn't delivered me yet"....I really dislike that line...what it says to me is I don't even have to try and overcome my mess because God hasn't taken it from me yet..what are your thoughts?

Torah will always be our standard for holy living. The sad thing is that Christianity thinks that Torah is done away, when Yeshua himself said he came not to do so. Heaven and earth is still here!
Evan,

Thats not nice for an EVANGELIST. I have done nothing to you. Yahweh bless you, and I will continue to speak & stand for his truth under HIS authority.
Elder,

Amen. Also, thank Yahweh that grace does NOT overthrow Torah! Romans 3:31,"Do we then overthrow the Torah by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the Torah."
It means if we unknowly sin against God his grace will rush in so we won't fall down that cliff, if I came up to you Min Lambert and hit you in the face, I knowly sinned and punch you right in the face; knowing and not knowing is two different things, but I thank God for his grace and mercy his love to me, Lets call this topic; Gods Grace to James Williams.
Rev. James...I believe God's Grace covers regardless of a unknowing or a knowing sin. In the days of my mess when I was knowingly sinning...Good still covered me. However, once I came into a true understanding of my Father and the relationship that we share, I no longer knowingly sinned. I grew up though and I believe that is what is meant by growing in grace. I believe every Christian should get to the point where they no longer knowingly sin against their Father. However I believe God's Grace is there for every believer whether they sin knowingly or unknowingly. It does not negate the fact that an individual will reap what they sow...the Word is clear, if you sow to the flesh, you will of the flesh reap corruption. Some say that is God's grace running out..I say that is reaping what you sowed just like the Word stated.
I agree Sis. that grace is given by God in time of unknowing and knowing, alas we will reap what we sowed, but for those who understand the word, we can reap that harvest with the authority that Jesus' Name gives us.

Grace is unmerited favor, "The Lord will give us victory over situations we messed up" finances when we know we overcharged, good health when we neglected and abused our bodies, faithfulness when we were unfaithful.

See this is why I have a problem with the body pointing a finger saying "prosperity teachers" (acting like the prodigal son's brother) we don't know what those bros/sisters have been through, and what they have been through may have been what others pouting couldn't go through.

To them much given, much is required? Grace is awesome thing

The "prosperity gospel" is NOT the gospel that needs to be taught as a biblical doctrine.
Teaching prosperity gets people off the true focus of God.
God is NOT some pimp, loan shark or any other negative word that explains someone giving something for something.
We need to go back to teaching tithing, offerings and giving to others rather than always wanting somebody to give to them. The majority of these "prosperity" teachers are sheisters and pimps taking people's money.
What is going to happen when all these "prophecies" they have told don't come true?
Then what?
When they get a bullet in they head from some crazy nut who believed their garbage and it don't come to pass then what shall we say????
We need to realize God is not playing in these last days and He is going to be pulling covers and revealing alot about these people who get up lying and deceiving and those of you who following them are just as guilty.
The Word says seek ye FIRST the kingdom and if you not doing that then you are a thief and a liar- plain and simple.
Min Lambert you said it in words I couldn't
Grace Given to Sin?

NO!

GRACE IS NOT A LICENSE TO SIN.

Please, read Titus 2:11-14

“ 11For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good”.

EVEN, GRACE IS MORE REQUIRING THAN THE LAW OF MOSES(TORAH).

Indeed, our Lord Jesus said:

"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

Matthew 5:27-28

Our Lord said again:

“For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven"'.

Matthew 5:20

The Law of Christ(Galatians 6:2) is the standard for Christians' holy living . It is better than the obsolete Torah.

Blessings,

Bro. Germain
Listen to this statement taken out of a book by Watchman Nee "From Glory to Glory,"......."As long as a person is kept in the grace of God, he has nothing to fear regarding the matter of "sins forgiven." Even so, if anyone should think that he can waste the grace of God - that is to say, "Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?" (Romans 6.1)- let him read the following sobering words: "Behold then the goodness and severity of God: toward them that fell, severity; but toward thee, God's goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou shalt be cut off" (Romans 11:22) Thou fool, do you not know that the grace of God is to lead you to repentance (see Romans 2:4) and not to encourage you to sin?

This was taken from the book "From Glory to Glory," The way we perceive sin & grace must line up with the scriptures. The reason why it is so much sin in the church is because of this improper view of sin & grace. View this video "Why do some Christians live in sin" at www.restofgod.com
