Rather than defending these people look at their fruit. Here is what the word of God has to say on this issue:

The 29-year-old son of popular TV evangelist T.D. Jakes was arrested after allegedly whipping out his private in front of two undercover vice detectives in a Dallas park last month, CBS 11 News reports. According to a Dallas Police report, Jermaine Jakes was charged with indecent exposure on Jan. 3 after the incident at Keist Park. The police affidavit says that Jakes walked up to one of the two detectives at the park with his pants unzipped. He then began to masturbate while making eye contact with the detective, according to the document.

First, just because you have a gift to heal it does not mean you are led to heal everybody of every affliction. You being a father I am SURE you don't deliver your children from EVERY hurt and pain especially when you have TOLD THEM NOT to do something so we need to stop trying to make it seem like someone is a fake just because of something so minor and ignorant. I have made plenty stupid decisions and my mother and stepfather did NOT save me just because they could. They allowed me to suffer to be grateful when I do come out of the situation so I would learn something. Honestly, that was a backhanded slap in God's face to even quote what was quoted on this screen.
Next, I am not defending Benny Hinn because I don't know Him personally and from what I see he is okay with me- I am not partial to his ministry but he does what he feels God has told him to do.
Next, T.D. Jakes' son is a 29yr old grown man WHO HAS HIS OWN APARTMENT so to try and place Jakes down because of what his son did is ridiculous. I was raised in a good home with a saved mother who kept a tight rope on me and in that made sure I knew the Word and kept me in church HOWEVER when I got big enough I did what I wanted to do. Can my mother be blamed for MY decisions to party, get drunk, and have sex?

My mother raised me to know better.
You can't make your grown children do what you want them to do. All you can do as a parent is pray for them and believe that God will do His will in their lives.
Lastly, this story only made the national news because of who his father was and what Jakes (sometimes well used to) speaks about concerning homosexuality. Believe me, if his father was not T.D. Jakes we would not have even known who this dude is.

Well Bro Scott here we go, now I am not one to get all enthused over any one minister walking of Earth of God, and to me Bishop Jakes is a licensed pychologist who is anointed of God, that preaches a message to mostly women who he has an insight, because of his vocation, on their hurts.

I'm not impressed with that for only one man knows truly how women on individual bases, feel, and that man was and is Jesus.

I'm not all that familiar with Benny Hinn but I'm sure just as Jakes he has learned how to set an atmosphere. They are gifted men, and we know that gifts come without repentence, so I do not refute their gifts or anointings, especially when they lift the Name of Jesus.

Why aren't they healing AIDS and HIV in the black community and on global scenes? Maybe they are not called to do that?

I do understand that many of our people suffer with this disease, I however do not buy into the epidemic, for us or any other culture here in the states.

The majority of black people are good, faithful, God fearing people, working hard everyday to provide for themselves and their faimilies.

I DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING THE MEDIA THROWS OUT! and healings are not from a man but from God.

On the global scene, that is where mission work comes in, many of the individuals in our world are not worshippers of the true and living God, and their prayers aren't answered because the gods that they pray to are idol/idle Gods.

When Christian missionaries go with the Gospel of Christ, and they receive in their hearts Jesus, these type of miracles are more prevalent there than here.


I'm going to bring up Magic Johnson, look at that man, he claimed his healing, now the naysayers will say "he still has HIV" how is it hindering him, as seen by the world? of course I don't know his personal sufferings, however I see his victory walk, what a healing!!!!

I've been saying that for years of those devotees of Dr. Phychologist T.D. (one verse) Jakes who only preaches a watered down, compromising feel good and seeker friendly "gospel" of practicality mainly to women about how to live peacefully and free on earth while being just "happy" go lucky folk while everyone sings "Kum ba ya, my Lord Kum ba ya. Oh, Lord, Kum ba ya", while doing the chicken head dance as he stuffs his collective pockets from silly laden women as he lives lasciviously in the mighty name of Jesus. How insane in 'da membrane is that?

Impressed of the amount of throw up and puke I regurgitate while listening to this man make merchandise of folk with impunity while the rest of the black pastors,bishops and ministers of the world are silent while false prophets continue to slaughter and kill the very spirit of mainly women who follow these types of "bishop's" who's only gain is their own belly.

Atmosphere? Gifted men is right, don't mistake eloquence and the ability to create a feeling or an emotion with being the Holy Spirit. We as African Americans are emotional and reactionary people and love a good feel good emotionally charged atmosphere that creates the illusion that God is in the house kind of mentality. What is the fruit, or how can their be real fruit when the simple Gospel of repentance is not being preached, taught and proclaimed? Are we followers of the suffering savior called Jesus the Christ or are we followers of voodoo? We are dealing with wise Pharoahs who are misleading many down the broad road of destruction by using fair speeches of deception to "reposition" ourselves to miss the mark and the Good News of the Gospel to be the light and salt of a dark and dying earth that is desperately seeking the truth as Pilate cried out for. What is the truth? This is the question. What is a Bishops responsibility to those who are within earshot of God's voice moving powerfully within the angel of the church? What was John the Baptists proclamation to us...It was for us all to MAKE YOUR CROOKED ROADS STRAIGHT! REPENT....REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND! Is that too emotional for us? In saying that, would any Bishop, Pastor, Elder, Prophet, etc, have a huge following? I say not! We don't want that as a people even though the enemy is slaughtering our children in the middle of the street right in front of the "cherch" while we make those who sit in the pews comfortable in their sin with no conviction, brokenness nor contriteness. That's the Gospel? I'd say that's not the Gospel of Christ but a more perversive and pervasive and dangerous gospel that seeks the comforts of life rather living sacrificial lives. TD (one verse) Jakes isn't preaching the cross, the crucified, death and resurrected Christ. Have you heard lately he and the white suited, lear jet flying Benny (slickster) Hinn and his world "evangelism" to India and Africa who goes there to preach a watered down version of the Gospel for his own glory to a people who don't even have Bibles in their own languages to check him even if they wanted too? Its a LIE! HERESY! BLASHEMY! Woe to the "sheppards"!

Rom 8:17 "and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him."

Not only are we called and charged to seek out those who suffer and are heavy laden, but we are also commanded to suffer with them by not just going there in our comfortable lear jets, wearing $20,000 suits, driving rolls royce's and staying at 5 star hotels while these false prophets preach to them about how to live in wealth, health and happiness to people who suffer. That is not the Gospel. That is not what Jesus did when He left the comforts of heaven and all its glory to be the refuse of the world and treated with contempt to the point of having Him crucified for our transgressions. He was rich and became poor, so that we could become rich. We are rich in faith and in grace having received His mercy and know that He will be with us until the end of this age and that we have an intercessor who stands in the gap between us sinful people to a Holy and Just and Righteous God who redeems us from the death sentence from birth and our souls and justifies us and made us the righteousness of Christ. Yes, that's...RICH!

How are we faithful when it is mainly us catching these diseases from our undisciplined collective lifestyles of depravity? It is black women who are receiving these curses and plaques called "aids", we are aiding our own self-destruction while these supposed "men of God" refuse to step up to the proverbial plate and use that pulpit to speak those things that do not itch their ears and tell their flock as a good sheppard would to warn them that if they don't turn from their wicked ways, seek His face, love His ordinances, precepts and commands they will....DIE! And to FLEE FROM FORNICATION, SHUN AND HATE EVIL, HATE DIVORCE, HATE ADULTERY, HATE FORNICATION, HATE HOMOSEXUALITY, HATE LYING, GOSSIPPING AND LOVE THE THINGS THAT GOD LOVES AND HATE THE THINGS THAT GOD HATES! I'm still awaiting for that sermon, in which I refuse to hold my breath, cause I'd be a dead man not breathing.

One of the most plausible explanations is segregation. African-Americans make up 12% of the US population, 42% of all people living with Aids and more than half of all new infections. They are also least likely to have partners of different races.

Real salvation is not only justificationi. It cannot be isolated from regeneration, sanctification, and ultimately glorification. Salvation is an ongoing process as much as it is a past event. It is the work of God through which we are "conformed to the image of His Son" Genuine assurance comes from seeing the Holy Spirit's transforming work in one's life, not from clinging to the memory of some experience or from at one time long ago reciting some mantra or "sinners prayer" and now were so above the simple Gospel of Christ and not delving deeper of uncovering the true mysteries of HIs true work on the cross to have a more closer and more intimate relationship with the love of our lives and soul. No, now we need to get just "deep" so we can say with impunity, "Wow what a word today that made me shout and dance", thinking we did something as we leave the monastery to go home and put on a football game while munching on some chicken wangs. Maybe we need a word that creates us to be crushed, broken, longing, sorrowful, repentant, willing to suffer for righteousness sake!

Again, its not about your life nor my life, what about those lives who are being snuffed out and destroyed while "Bishops" who are called to pasture the flock and bring them into green pastures through the washing of the innerant word are not speaking God's truth's to a people and community that are in complete depravity. This is my opinion on this topic you can't believe everything you hear and see and you can not give heard to theses false teaching others are saying. I do disagree with a lot of what he said in this video but on the flip side there are so many other dieases that are just as bad as Aids that don't get the attention it deserves. Nowadays you can contract Aids other ways then through sex. We must be careful not to judge no man but stay focused on what Yahweh has taught us in his word. There is always going to be stuff said about the church and the preachers but we still have to work out our own salvation each person has to give account for there actions that's it. However what I do is just pray because that is all I can do so many things are being said about theses Pastors who are in the public eye you have to just pray.

I'm not supporting another gospel being preached to those rock stars called "bishops", "pastors" and the such. We are called to expose them, rebuke them. And we aren't monks only called to pray (such girly response). Did David just pray Goliath's head off?

That's how they are getting away with grand theft by deceiving the silly and those who are babes. We are called to feed the sheep as well as the lambs and to confront those and call 'em out as well for all to see. We pray beforehand and afterwards before engaging in war tactics.

Funny Altha, how you had a lot ot say about Pastor Manning in calling him and his minions a cult and rightly so if that was what he was doing. But when it comes to those like T.D. (reposition yourself) Jakes there is a much more different way your tiptoeing around the tulips with him. Why? At least be consistent and at least Manning wasn't robbing his flock in broad daylight..............
