There has arisen an issue concerning the details of the New Covenant that our LORD and Savior YESHUA/JESUS has won for us by HIS blood and grace. Therefore, we are opening this discussion and starting it off for the edifying of the saints and the settling of the matter:

The subjects for this debate are along two lines:

-Jeremiah 31:31 and Hebrews 8: Do we still stand on the Torah?
-the Seal of the New Covenant: Is it still Sabbaths, Feasts, and Circumcision, or do we have a New Seal?

Trevor,

Jeremiah was the only Prophet to mention the New Covenant and its decrees..

1) Torah on our hearts
2) All will know Yehwah, and no need to teach his fellow man
3) Sins would be forgiven, and never to be remembered.

Can you name 1 Prophet other than Jeremiah that mentions ALL THREE decrees???????
WOW!! WHO CARES IF HE DID!!?!?

Does that make Jeremiah the greatest of OT Prophets because he mentioned all three? All the other Prophets I mentioned spoke of the new covenant BEFORE he was even born if you want to be technical! Whats your point about him saying all three first? What significance does that make?
Trevor,

It really does not make any difference actually. The basic point here is that,"Is Torah relevant for New Testament believers?"

Torah & Prophets seems to agree with the fact that Israel should observe Torah forever, and them that attach themselves to Israel are no different(Exodus 12:49 & Romans 11).

The first time the New Covenant AND its decrees were mentioned are in Jeremiah. Does the Torah become removed when one reads Hebrews?
You make NO sense! Why would you say we would adhere to laws and rituals forever?!?! Dont you even have the slightest of ideas as to why they cam in the first place?!?! The placement of such was for suinful man to reach towards a holy GOD. Once we are in the eternal Kingdom, WHY would you continue to do the things that are required for forgiveness of sin and the like!?!? Such was never need in Eden until the great sin was committed.
Trevor,

Provide your supporting evidence from Yehwah, Yeshuah, and the Apostles that Torah, which is a decree of the NT, will not be forever?????

Yehwah consistently says that we are to observe His Torah throughout all generations. We shall teach them to our children, guide our household by them.

Timothy grew up in Torah & Prophets, and Paul told him that Torah & Prophets is here for CORRECTION, REBUKING, TEACHING, AND ALSO LIVING.

Paul himself said KEEPING THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD IS WHAT COUNTS.. Do you agree with Paul, the Torah-keeping Benjaminte??

Will you begin to keep Torah like Paul did????
You make mention of Jeremiah and still forget that we "know in part and we prophecy in part". As much credit you give to Jeremiah, he only gave you a portion of what was to come. Isaiah's prophetic words have been known to give far more detail than Jeremiah ever gave, but that doesn't make him any more special.
Trevor,

We can definitely jump into Isaiah. But, I think the fact is that you cannot confess up to what Yehwah said through Jeremiah concerning the New Covenant. You claim to be under the New Covenant, but cannot admit that Torah is decreed there! My question, as was never answered, is,"Why do you insist on removing the decree that says Torah will be written on our hearts?"
I never removed it, I showed it time after time. You however never excepted it! Just because you do no accept the doctrine I speak, does not mean that it is wrong, James!
Trevor,

If you accept that the Torah is indeed decreed in the New Covenant, then you would not be so heavy to speak against it... thinking the Apostles have your back..
Trevor,

As Yehwah said this to Moses, He says it to you,"How long will you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws?"
And as JESUS said to His disciples " when the blind lead the blind, they will both fall in a ditch" and Apostle Paul said concerning the Torah "But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ."
Trevor,

The great thing is that Yeshuah kept Torah,"If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love."
