Sex ( Why are Christians afraid to have honest discussions about it?)

Sex, historically has been a bad word in the body of Christ, I mean from the stand point of having real, honest and open conversation about it from a biblical, emotional, sensual and natural point of view. However, christians, including pastors seemingly have more problems with sex than those who practice sin as a lifestyle. We who are called to uphold a standard for the world have just as many if not more problems around sexual issues than the world.

We MUST have deeper, wiser and more real discussion, teaching and preaching concerning this issue so that people will be well informed so that each of us can make decisions that help us to marry partners that have the same sexual desires, appetite and inclination as long as they remain within a frame that God can honor. God does not want us to have frigid sexual relationships with a spouse but He also doesn't want an anything goes sexual relationships. He wants us to have balance yet more freedoms than the church has been willing to discuss. Hopefully this will decrease the number of divorces in the church.

EW,

Read it again. Also, understand Hebraic thought. In Hebrew thought and culture, When a marriage takes place... whats the next step? lol SEX, and the man had to present the "bloody cloth", which is proof of her virginity, to the elders of the city. There will not be any of this in the resurrection.
Once again this is an assumption. Hebrews weren't the only ones having sex after marriage, this is/was a human tradition as we all know. There is a difference in how we will be when we are resurrected. We will be like the heavenly angels and not like the fallen angels. The fallen angels gave up their positions when they did what they did in Genesis 6. I know this isn't popular and that's ok too.
Yes, James, what scriptures state that angels can't reproduce?
where is that in the holy bible
Is your question for me or James brother Bell?
JAMES I AGREE WITH YOU
EW I AGREE WITH YOU NOT JAMES THE QUESTION WAS FOR HIM TRIED OF ONES TRYING TO TELL GOD WHAT GOD MEAN IF HE SAID IT THEN THAT ENOUGH
Pastor,

One of the main problems with people who claim to study the word of Yehwah thinks that what's said is always what's meant. The bible was not sucked into a vaccum and spat out. One has to disect the word.... understand its figures of speech, and literary devices. What's said on the surface is not always what is meant, Pastor. You as a Pastor should be ashamed to believe such. Study the word RIGHTFULLY, Pastor.
There is no where in the Bible that says angels don't/can't reproduce! The scripture you provided for Evangelist Fugett is based on and for humans in that they will not be given in marriage. We can't assume that not given in marriage means not reproducing. All this is human speculation but Genesis 6 states something different. These men were in fact Giants as was Goliath and his brothers and Anak and his people. These were an abomination. I know some of you never have and don't believe in it but read the Book of Enoch also. Personally I just accept the Word and don't try to add into it or take away from it. I know how you brothers like to use the Hebraic as the sole authority on words and that's ok. I personally think the Bible is pretty clear. Just my opinion and I"m not getting into a dispute. I given up on disputes and don't do that anymore. I trust what God says and that's it period for me. God bless.
John,

Hey brother.. whats going on! Go back up and re-read my response. Some Hebraic thought must be understood. Angels aren't married, or given to marriage. In Hebrew culture, they go and have sex to consumate the marriage. Torah even commands it! Paul even affirms Torah concerning in 1st corin 7, where he said Man must fulfill his martial duty to his wife. Angels does not have sex, neither can they reproduce. We shall be like them in the resurrection.
John,

Another thing. You said that the bible is pretty clear on things. If thats true, then why does Christianity have over 2,000 denominations? Why does Judaism have a handful of sects as well? No one living today was even existing during Biblical times. If you want to understand an ancient book, and Hebraic culture of that time, then you must think ancient hebraic :).
SHOW IT TO US IN THE HOLY BIBLE JOHN
