Christianity in the U.S. More About Racism, Sexism and Greed than Christ

This is not coming from the outside looking in, this is coming from the inside looking in. I am a believer in Christ and His Father our Father the one and only God. I have no problem with disclosing my Faith and likewise I have no problem with understanding or allowing those who think different than me to be free to do just that. However many of my fellow Christians don't do the same and for that I apologize.

We claim to be followers of Christ and yet our behavior does not speak to highly of the one we claim to follow:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Not only did Christ say this and live this but He expects us to do the same. Are we being peacemakers? Are we showing a pure heart? Are we being gentle?

Just look around, google homosexuality, women as Pastors, and prosperity and the church, and see what you find.

When it comes to homosexuality many Christians believe that they are at war; they believe that they are the righteous and that they know their enemy. Their enemy is the gay agenda and Gay Liberation Theology.

When it comes to women serving as Pastors/Bishops etc. many Christians believe that they are at war; they believe that they are the righteous and that they know their enemy. Their enemy is Women Liberation Theology.

When it comes to poverty many Christians believe that they are at war, they believe that they are the righteous and that they are entitled to wealth and health and their enemy is poverty. Theie tactic to destroying poverty in their "own" lives is by giving more to God so that they can get more.

And lastly there is a not so hidden past (and some might say present) of racism in the Christian Church, in fact whenever I read materials from conservative Christian groups on their mission to save the traditional family from "the homosexual agenda" I often think about how these same groups used the same tactics in the South to save their families and their way of life from "the Colored agenda". It's the same tactics but a different perceived enemy.

So, google or even check the online climate to see if we as Christians are all about Christ or all about racism, greed and sexism.

Me, I strive to walk in Christ's example.

Too simply wear the name does not necessarily make one so. but there is racism, hatred, everywhere we go, even in our homes. Please remember that we s individuals, are too work out our own soul salvation. When looking at our lives we must start too fear God, no matter what eveyone else is/ is not doing. Just look at it as a sign of the times.

"Christianity", overall, has problems. Christianity alone has over 200 various denominations. They are ALL divided over some kind of teaching. Let us get back to the original practices & beliefs of the early church(1st century), and that is Messianic Judaism.
