Are we God's slaves?

Princes and Princesses of God,
I am posting this as a constructive discussion to help each other in understanding the scriptures.
Are we God's Slaves? If no why do we not do his will? If yes what is the meaning of the cross sacrifice?

WE are not slaves of God, we are Servants of God. We don;t do his will becuase we love sin instead of Holiness. Also we use every excuss to validate our wrong doing.He died on the cross to satisfy the sin penality of mankind

Galatians 4:6-7 is clear on the statement.
we were raised to sonship and a son do respect by love and humility where as the slave is subject to order to save his live or in exchange to freedom.
