Does God Love People of Third World Countries Less Than Us?

Anthony posted a thread about the lack of clean water for children around the world and it is amazing.

We are the most BLESSED nation in the world.
What is the point of that?
As Christians living in such conditions - what would God have us do since surely He loves the poorest of the poor as much as He loves us?

What is our mission (the Body of Christ) here, in this day ?
Surely it cant be to lavish our goods solely on ourselves.
We have so much food - we are getting sick from it.
We have so much technology to do what we used to do for ourselves - that we are dying from it.

In the bible days - gluttony was a sin...is it anymore?
Sloth was a sin in the days of the apostles...is it anymore?
We live with so much pleasure and take advantage of most of it - because of course its our culture.
Is it wrong to be blessed with much - NO WAY - but its what you do with it thats important.
But if you dont do what is right with your blessing - it turns into a curse.
As the bible says: To whom much is given - much is required...ESPECIALLY for the Body of Christ which has the mind of Christ.

We better be spreading our blessings around - alot around or it wont go well for us.

Just something to think about.

True words, I think that in reference to the 3rd world countries, it is not that God loves them less, by no means, HE loves all of his creations, however HIS children are those that keep HIS commandments, and worship no other god before him.

Gluttony is still a sin, in the truest since it is a lack of faith in God to supply our needs, that is why one will hoard up food, money, material things to rot.
Sloth is still a sin, for it is the root of depression, a sadness gone perverse to the point of extreme laziness

As you state it is NOT wrong to be prosperous, something that even the theological experts have to come to terms with is in God's plan for his children.

Keeping in mind my sister, TO WHOM MUCH GIVEN IS MUCH REQUIRED

Shalom
