1 Corinthians 15:44-58

When we realize how great our God is, we walk with a vision; we do not look at the battle.  God wants to form within us the very image of His own Son Jesus.  God wants to make known His Glory.  Display His light to the world-not just in words alone, but as salt upon the earth.  People’s lives are fading away, because they are depending upon the wrong things.  We are to give the world something to hold onto-the word and the image of God.

Matthew 24: 35

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away”.

Jeremiah 18: 4

“And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter : so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it”.

  • We are the house of Israel today.  God wants to display Himself to the world.  There is nothing good in us to display an improved us.
  • There is power in Jesus; we must be born of the spirit of God.
  • The Potter (Lord God) is the Master Potter to mold and shape us.  God wants us to surrender our all.  Yield to Him beyond our reasoning.
  • Clay cannot dictate what it wants to be.  The person who holds it in their hand has the power.  Such is the same as it pertains to God molding and shaping us.

Isaiah 64:8

But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand”.

  • God is the Potter, and we are the clay.  He has not completed His design of us as yet.
  • All things that are molded by the Potter must go through a process such as adding colors to the clay, shaping it, and baking it where the color goes through it.
  • Sometimes there are lumps in our lives of which the Potter works on, and smoothens them out.
  • “Lord makes me what you want me to be” should be our prayer.

2 Timothy 2:20

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor”.

  • God will take His treasure (Son Jesus), and place Him in an earthly vessel (us).  Many do not realize how valuable we are.  Be conscious of the Glory of God which reigns in your life.
  • God is ready to use you at His will.
  • It’s not about the glory of us, but it’s God who chooses us.
  • “Lord, continue to use me as you will”.  Be ready to be used anytime.

1 Peter 1:7

These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed”.

  • God wants us to be tried and molded.

1 John 3:23

“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure”.

  • Lord, not my will, but your will be done” is what we should pray.
  • The church is a living soul.  The breadth of the Spirit of God moves and lives in us.
  • The first man Adam failed in sin- we want to avoid such.

Deuteronomy 32:18

Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee”.

  • The children of Israel forgot about God; avoid this type of behavior.

Isaiah 43:1, 23

1“But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine”.

23”Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense”.

Isaiah 45:18

“For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else”.

Romans 5:6, 8, 11-12, 17-21

6  For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

  • Jesus Christ- became the 2nd man Adam in the spirit.
  • Adam was the 1st man of the flesh.
  • The separation of one atom can cause an explosion.  The old self (Adam) is what we want to overcome.  In the newness (2nd Adam or Christ), there is power.
  • The splitting of the atom moves us from the old (1st Adam), into the new (Christ) where God’s potency is displayed!  All of our past should be washed in the blood of Jesus!

1 Corinthians 15: 44-58

44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

47The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

  • We are born of the spirit dimension and chosen by God.  The angels in heaven rejoice!
  • Every day, we walk in the newness of God- a new creation.
  • Bear the image of the heavenly- Jesus Christ.
  • In our suffering (anger, hurt, etc., let God’s Glory be manifested in us.
