GET OVER YOUR PAST!
We all have a past. It is our prison, our excuse or our springboard to the future God as planned for us. One thing is certain until you break the chains that tie you to your past, you can’t move forward. Maybe you have been hurt abuse by a loved and trusted person in the past, forget about it, (you said just like that if only you know what I have been through) It is time to let go of the past and reach for the great destiny God has for you.
Nobody ever walk backward into his future. Those who look back, never make progress in life. In fact Jesus said; ‘‘No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.’’ (Luke 9:62).
You future contains more happiness and success than any past you can remember. Your past is past, let it pass away. You have a great future ahead. God himself said concerning you “ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
No matter where you are now, your tomorrow is better than your yesterday. So forget the past. Don’t let your past mistakes become memorials. Bury them. Don’t enthrone them. God does not look at your past to decide your future. Looking at Jeremiah 29:11, Revelations floods my heart. You have a better tomorrow. Nothing can stop you, just get over the past.
Your future is loaded with great things, forget the hurts, abuse and failures of the past and reach for your great destiny in God. Stop talking yesterday’s miseries. Start today talking about tomorrow’s success. You can’t have a better tomorrow, if you are thinking and talking about yesterday’s woes. Your past is over; it has passed forever and is beyond your control. What lies behind you is insignificant compared to what lies ahead of you. See it NOW.
President Thomas Jefferson of American once said “I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past”. Stop looking at your past, start dreaming of a great future, “Eleanor Roosevelt affirmed”, the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
Friend, looking at your negative past will make you have negative experiences in life. Let go of your negative past, lay aside all the weight of the troubles of your past to rest. Let them go and reach for your great future. Research for success, you will have it. Success is yours forever!
