Prophetic Intercession

It is vital that we as prophetic people understand prophetic intersession because it is key to our ministry. There are times when God will reveal things to you concerning people or events that are about to take place in order for you to pray. For example: In your prayer time you may see a family member in an accident or dangerous situation. God is showing you this to first pray. He did not show this to pastor ; he is showing this to you for you to intercede. In order to obtain the full revelation of what to do with this information, you should pray to god for instructions. Listen to receive the instructions. God will speak directly to you on how to pray for that situation. A lot of times just by you intervening on the behalf of someone else, this will change the outcome of the situation. That is why we must be sensitive to the spirit of God when he is prompting us to pray. Just by you praying, this can bring deliverance to someone who is in bondage by the powers of darkness. When you really get into the presence of God and begin to pray for others God will bring deliverance into your own life. A lot of times we as people of God can get caught up in our own circumstances, and we forget to pray for those who are worse off than we are. In prophetic intercession we come into the presence of God and gain his insight. Therefore we are able to pray his heart and will. When you come into the presence of God you have a knowing of things to come. There is unction from the Holy One that you will receive. God will give you divine counsel concerning the situation; therefore you will accurately know how to intercede on behalf of someone else. Too often we have missed “it” by not getting into the presence of God. God will also give you names of people to pray for and when you come in contact with that person God would have already given you a word for that individual. Isaiah 50:4 states the Lord hath given me the tongue of the learned that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: He wakenth morning by morning, he wakenth mine ear to hear as the learned. God will show you the faces of people to pray for also even though you may not know there name God knows them; you just pray the prayer God gives you for them.

Sometimes we take these things for granted when God is speaking directly to us. My sheep know my voice and the voice of a stranger they will not follow. (John 10:4-5) It is very important that we have a prayer life in order to know the voice of our heavenly father. Lives are at stake and we must wake up to the call of prophetic intercession. Prophetic intercession is praying the heart, mind, and will of God. It is different from just ordinary prayer. When operating in a prophetic realm of prayer there is an anointing released to destroy every yoke. The invidual may or may not have given you specifics concerning there need, but you begin to pray the answer with out really having a knowledge of there prayer request. The individual will begin to see the results of your intercession. When praying prophetically there is a power released to actually destroy the plans of the enemy. When you begin to announce your awareness of a situation and begin to declare and decree a thing God moves on your behalf. Job 22:28 says thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. We have unction from the Holy One that we know all things. (1 John 2:20) It is important that we understand the fear of God. We must reverence him at all times in all that we do. Proverbs 3:6 says to acknowledge him in all thy ways and he shall direct thy path. A lot of times God will not reveal something to you concerning nations, people, churches or even your present circumstance because you do not fear him. Psalms 25:14 says the secret of the Lord is with them that fear him: and he will show them his covenant. You have to be able to be trusted by God before he will give you certain information concerning people or what is going to take place within the body of Christ as a whole. Just because God has shown you the spirit or sin of a person does not necessarily mean you go to that person and say, “Hey I know you are a witch and have been working witchcraft against me I just wanted you to know I know it is you. God gave me a vision of a snake it was you that he showed me.” That may have been the case, but the reason why God gave you the vision of the person is to pray for their salvation and deliverance. God will let you know if you really need to confront the person and call that spirit out of them. That is why we must check our motives for doing or saying what we do as prophetic people.
