Or should we give as our heart leads without compulsion or obligation as II Corinthians 9:7 says. Should we still be held under one letter of the law (the tithe) and dissolve all others with the blood of Jesus? Was the blood unable to dissolve the law of the tithe.
Yeah, I know...Abraham gave 10% to Melchizadek. Remember, however, he gave it by faith out of honor and not by law and you don't hear of Abraham tithing in that manner again. This was a foreshadow of things to come in the priesthood. Christ was the firstfruit offering and satisfied the requirements of the law. Satisfied meaning no longer requiring payment.
Read Galatians & Colossians and understand that the text speaks of any part of the law...not just circumcision.
