I really need to get a understanding about this. Many times Pastors tell the congreations.. Don't continue to jump in different people prayer lines. Sometimes spirits can transfer...


What is Transfering of spirits?

What kind of Spirit?

Can spirits be transfer only through laying on hands?

Transferring of Spirits is in the bible. Remember when the Son's of Sceva tried to pray for someone in the name of Jesus.
What happened? The Spirits jumped on those men and asked who they were! They said Jesus , I know , Paul I know , but who are you!

(1) The person laying hands on people had best be a believer and (prayed up). If not they will invite hardship upon
themselves.

(2) The person who has hands laid upon them, have to be ready spiritually to believe and receive from the Holy Spirit, that
which is required to possess healing and forgiveness of sin.

(3) All persons who ask for prayer are not necessarily repentant of sin.


We should check with the Holy Spirit, before approaching anyone! We should be lead by the Word of God in any situation.


I have seen people pray for someone who was ill and the spirit of infirmity transferred onto the person doing the praying.
Why?, Only God and that person knows why it happened that way. We should not be afraid to lay hands on someone, but we best be sure that we are the one the Holy Spirit has prepared to do it. When the Holy Spirit chooses someone for a work He also equip that person.

Don’t Lay Hands on Others Suddenly

Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.(1 Tim. 5:22)

In writing to Timothy, Paul said, "Lay hands suddenly on no man...." If you read the whole context of this verse, Paul is not talking about laying hands on someone to do the person harm; he's talking about the doctrine of the laying on of hands.

He is instructing Timothy not to be quick to lay hands on people and pray for them. I believe it is important that people are ready to receive when hands are laid on them.

I remember a woman who brought her daughter to me to be healed. The daughter was facing major surgery, and the woman wanted me to pray for her.

Well, I endeavor to keep my spirit open to the Spirit of God, so before the mother said anything, I knew on the inside of me that the daughter didn't believe in divine healing and was just coming to please her mother. So I said to the two of them, "Well, let's just sit down and talk a little bit first."

"Oh, no," the mother said. "I already told you. I got up early this morning and drove two hundred and forty miles. After you lay hands on my daughter and pray, I'm going to take her back home. I want to get back before our church service tonight."

"Well, I don't want to be mean or ugly about it," I said. "But if that's the way it is, why don't you just go ahead, load her up, and take her back. Your daughter doesn't believe in divine healing, so there's really no point in me praying for her under the present circumstances."

The woman looked sort of startled and said, "Well, if that's the way you feel about it."

I told her that it had nothing to do with how I felt about it, but I knew there was no use for me to pray for her daughter under those circumstances. So the woman and her daughter agreed to sit down and talk with me.

Confession I believe in divine healing and keep myself ready to receive when hands are laid on me. Therefore, no man will lay hands suddenly on me, because I am always ready to receive from God.

If the person who lays hands on someone, who is in need of prayer and restoration; if he/she is a sinner playing the role of an anointed and appointed laborer for the Holy Spirit, and they are full of sin and corruption, in their lives, the evil upon their lives could transfer to other , unsuspecting souls, who are sin ridden, and looking for deliverance. Spirits like : lust, addiction,filthiness,occultic rituals(voodoo, witchcraft ............

These are the types of spirits which can transfer to those , whose spirits are open, by sin and sinful behavior.

Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.

We are to discern people through the Holy Spirit before laying hands on them which is why the scripture says Suddenly.

Some people get over zealous and start touching without discerning. We must be certain that Satan hasn't sent someone with foul spirits and ill intentions and no desires for deliverance. Spirits can lie dormant in people waiting for opportunities to transfer. I have actually seen Ministers that prayed for others and transferred spirits lust into woman. One Church in Detroit had a pastor to do this to more than a dozen of his female members. He started sleeping with them and at least 5 of them had a baby by him. He was married and his wife also had many children. It wasn't until he raped a white woman that he finally went to jail where he died in prison. These woman later testified including his oldest daughter that they don't know why they were attracted to him because he was not an attractive man.

So I understand your pastors position on not getting in everyone's prayer line

I was about the ask another question but you answer it...

I understand about laying hand suddenly on no man.. But The Person that laying Hands can they transfer spirits to another person.

I can understand Why some Pastors make the statement to their Congreation about jumping into different Prayer lines.............. what you said brought back a memory... a Long time about one of the deacon decided to Go visit a church...that he didn't inform our Pastor that he was going to visit...... He stated he did get into the prayer line.... But when he got up the next day.. he couldn't tie his shoes, he stated something was on him...........Our pastor had to cast off that spirit that had him bound......


We do have to be very careful!!!
