Why do new and old converts go back into the world soon after facing a uncertain circustance?

This is because the church does not do its job of loving people and teaching them HOW to live saved.

 

Just telling them and teaching them to get saved is not enough.

 

This is a daily walk that needs to be taught.

Preachers it is time to go back to the fundamentals in fighting this spiritual battle. Therefore, the skills you have acquired do not translate over into our faith walk, but work well sometimes in the natural; as born again believers we have to teach our new converts and converted for years how to defend them in the faith.
What I have found out was telling the people of God about having a changed mind and new heart, but when faced with difficulties alone outside of the church walls cannot seem to put the word of God into practice. In addition, trying to think of a catchy phrase to fight off the enemy (Satan) and he does not leave. Like most if not all people revert to what they know i.e.; cussing, screaming, fist fighting, drinking, or drugs forgetting the fundamentals and come out swinging.

Yes, we have more work to do and not just carry the cross and title, but ensure our congregation are equipped/ trained on how to use their spiritual weapons. No, they are not defeated just ill equipped, and because God’s word does not work at their first attempt at using their spiritual swords weapons. They only need to develop their endurance levels and know this weapon is not a carnal one and is mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.
Our concerns about having a big church buildings nor the size of our congregations nor improve upon how it’s designed, and believe this outward cosmetic will change how we conduct our Tuesday, or Wednesday night’s bible studies, or Sunday morning worship services. God has shared with me for us to build better people /vessels of honor a tabernacle for God to dwell/ abide in us and with us.

Lastly, as most people when frustrated and feeling defeated is because of not being able to deliver that one knockout punch to our enemies (Satan) and his spirit that others around us carry; therefore teaching our converted and new converts how to put them up in the faith and defend themselves with the word of God. Yes! What a concept returning to the fundamental seems simple enough and teaching endurance is the first step of any training or conditioning phase in preparation of an anticipated fight/ contest. And most believe that salvation alone send our enemy away running scared, but it’s truly at the name of Jesus and knowing how and when to call upon Him is what will get his attention. The Word alone with your faith and the proper amount applied with the right application. We can withstand everything; stay/stand secured in our faith, and not feeling the agony of defeat.
