The question was asked, "If God told all the women TODAY to step back from their ministry leadership positions in the church so that men could step up and take those positions, would women step down in obedience to God"?

What say ye men and women of BPN???

Leigh, thank you for responding. I understand where you are coming from but in the interest of having a discussion, I have a few questions about some things you mentioned.

What is the purpose of the spirit of Jezebel?

Does it only operate in women?

Is there a companion spirit to Jezebel... in other words, is that spirit usually accompanied by another spirit?

Is what is stated in Isaiah 3:12 the main issue in those first three chapters? Was that one passage the cause of the judgments on Israel pronounced by Isaiah? Does Isaiah chapter 1 have any significant relevance to chapter 3 and the subsequent chapters?

With it not being biblically correct for a woman to have authority over man, should men quit their jobs if they have a female supervisor/boss or is this only relative in spiritual situations? Is there a line of demarcation in the scriptures as it pertains to spiritual authority vs secular authority? If so, did a queen in biblical times have any authority of men?
How have you seen Jezebel working in men? What are some biblical examples of that?

Is the term Jezebel spirit biblical in exact terminology or in inference?
Interesing.

By the way, that was very good information, thank you for sharing it... LOL and yeah that was flattery but it was sincere... don't be pointing yo fangers at me hollerin Jezebel - LOL. I really would like to encourage diaglogue on this topic.

I think I need to re-read the scripture you quoted because I am confused about the meaning of the passage as related to what you are stating the passage refers to.

In I Corinthians 5:9-13 Paul states:

9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Your explanation of that passage is on point except.. in the case of the subject of this discussion, what if BOTH persons are Believers??? Who said that every female boss is an unbeliever or (outside the house of God)???

Are you stating that a female who is a Believer can have authority over a man who is a Believer only in the context of the workplace?? This would infer that the restriction is not "authority" in totality but only authority within the "church walls" or as it pertains to all things within the Body of Christ is that correct???

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to infer anything by my questions but wanting clarity on what you are stating. The yes or no seems to have a shade of gray in it and I'm not sure that it should.
Is obedience proactive or reactive?

The famous wives & husbands passage is found in Ephesians 5:22-33.

But I like to refer everyone to that wonderful biblical relationship "sandwich" in Colossians 3:17-23. (vs 17 & 23 is the bread as it repeats in similarity, and verses 18-22 is the heart healthy meat fit for consumption and applicable to all relationships we may encounter.)

17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

18Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

19Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

20Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

21Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

22Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God;

23And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Are the people demonstrated here reacting to the obedience of each other? In other words, does their obedience to God have anything to do with whether or not the other person is obeying God?
Now that we have talkeda about marriage... which is always the typical topic....

We've discussed the work place and marraige. Now lets talk about the single men and women (even single parents). What is the order of submission there? In just society in general.... what is the biblical order of submission. Is there a biblical order of submission for men and women in society in general
