Misconceptions

‘Return to the lord. Say to him: ‘forgive all our sins and receive us graciously’ Hosea 14:2

What stops good people from cleaning up their act? Spiritual misconceptions! See if you recognise any: 1) Painful experiences are just the result of fate; they’re not connected to my choices. 2) God’s much too forgiving to permit escalating consequences, or allow me to get hurt just to motivate me to stop sinning. 3) The enjoyment I get from my so-called sin outweighs the benefits of stopping. Anyway, my sins aren’t really hurting anyone. 4) I can’t help myself. This problem goes back to my childhood, so why wouldn’t God extend grace rather than impose discipline? 5) Just because I sin doesn’t mean I can’t do something for God. Hey, God uses crooked sticks; 6) It’s not a sin, it’s just a part of my personality that I struggle with. If you recognise yourself in any of these misconceptions, do you see what you’re really saying? ‘My sin doesn’t have consequences. God won’t pursue this. I like my sin too much to give it up. I’ve convinced myself that I can’t quit. My sin won’t diminish my effectiveness. My problem isn’t even a sin.’ If this describes you, embrace the truth, discard the lies that have kept you stuck in unnecessary pain, and repent. The moment you do you’ll receive God’s forgiveness and His help to live differently. You’ll also look back on your former determination to stay in the dirt and wonder how you resisted your Father’s kindness for so long, and at such cost.

I know I have to change up my diet I need prayer because it gets hards changing up after eating a certain way for so many years, but with the help of the Lord nothing is impossible! God Will Not Give You More Than You Can Bear
God will not give you more than you can bear. Plea your case!
Ezekiel 4:12-17
And thou shalt bake it with dung that comes out of man, in their sight.
Verse 14
Then said I. Ah Lord God, behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn in pieces, neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
Verse 15
Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare they bread thee with.

What a mighty God we serve! He will not give us more than we can bear. Has God given you a task to do that seems too heavy? Today He is saying, "plea your case".
It's okay to plea your case.

Jesus the son of God pleaded His case.
Twice before His trial He asked God to take away the cup if it were possible.
Matthew 26:39,42
God could have taken the cup away but there was no substitute. Only through the shedding of His blood could mankind be saved.

God answered Ezekiel's plea because there was a substitute for human dung.

Are you burden with a task to day? Does this task seem too heavy for you to bear?

Like Ezekiel and Jesus cry out to God.

Remember: God will not give you more than you can bear.
Amen

Praise Him ! I viewed the video "Dating a Sinner." What stuck out at me was being real about how we have dealt with temptations so that we can counsel and help others. If you wear a mask they don't know who you really are!. Be all we can be for Christ. Cry loud and spare not.
God Bless- Pastor Teloria Williams Holy Ghost Powerhouse
