Pastor Gethers was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. He was chosen of God before the foundations of the earth to walk in the office of prophet, pastor, evangelist, and teacher. “Sir Shawn”, many call him, has always had a great hunger for the word of God and that caused him to reach out for Christian education attending T.E.T Christian Academy, Cornerstone Bible School and Universal Bible Education.

This man of God is the CEO and founder of S. D. Gethers Ministries (est. 1994) and DAP Media Solutions (est. 1998).
DAP Media Solutions, has been serving many ministries in the kingdom designing logos, display boards, business cards, brochures and etc.

Gethers, has been blessed to minister on the same platforms with and/ or for some of the greatest in ministry; including Pastor Shirley Caesar, Bishop Noel Jones, Pastor Jackie McCullough, Bishop F. Showell, Evangelist Dorothy Norwood and many others. Pastor Gethers has been privileged to travel to 21 states to preach the gospel. He is also the author of three books and is presently working on his 4th book to be released in the spring 2009.

December 2006, birth was given to Dominion and Power Family Worship Center. This is the place where we are "Programming Minds For VICTORY; Because DEFEAT Is Not An Option".
