Elder Catrina Janee’ Mack Cook was born June 8, 1964 to Charles and Eleanor Mack in Brooklyn, N.Y. She attended the Brooklyn public school system until the age of 13. At an early age, she moved to New Bern, NC with her grandparents, the Late Sylvester Jack and Hester Midgette. Under their guidance, she attended Star of Zion Missionary Baptist Church . It was during this time that she began to develop a great Love for God. She was a member of the following auxiliaries: Usher, Choir, Junior Missionaries and youth leader.
While in New Bern, NC, Catrina attended the Craven County public school system and graduated . After graduation, she attended Shaw University for , where she found the Lord and gave her life to Him. After returning home, she started many youth functions in Star of Zion and launched out into the community with the Neighborhood Youth Program, starting a drill team of 50 youth and a youth mass choir of 200 members. This is when she got a call to ministry. She began speaking at local youth conferences and services. During this time, she met and married Cpl. Andrew Cook III. Through this union, God blessed them with two beautiful children, Nikea JaLynn and Antonio Rodrew Cook.
After being stationed in Jacksonville, N.C., Catrina and her husband moved to Quantico, VA, where they joined Word of faith Holy Tabernacle (now know as Word of Faith Christian Fellowship) It was there where she served as choir director, head usher, praise team member, Armor bearer to Co-Pastor Coats, Media Ministry and licensed a missionary in 1995 and later ordained a Minister of the gospel in 2002.
In 2008 her husband received the unction of the Holy Ghost to move on and do a work in outreach and in late February 2009, following the lead of her husband, came in covenant with New Light Cathedral, where they continue to do the work of the Lord.
In November 2009, Catrina was led to host the first ever Young Ladies Summit, sponsored by Revelation Community Outreach Ministry, Inc., a ministry started by her husband. The Goal of the YLS is to build up the self-esteem of young women and instruct them in the importance of hygiene, education, abstinence, and holiness. It is Catrina’s desire to see every young lady become a success story.
