- Bishop Otha Bell is the Co-Founder and Senior Pastor of the Speaking the Word of Faith Prophetic Teaching Ministries located in McDonough, Georgia. He has 33+ years experience in various forms of ministry. He has served the Lord as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Minister, Associate Minister, Assistant Pastor, Pastor, and as a Chaplain at both the State Correctional Institutions in Camp Hill and Chester, Pennsylvania. In September of 2005 Pastor Bell was appointed as Bishop-designate for the Maranatha Faith Fellowship International of Stockbridge, Georgia. He was consecrated to the Holy Office of the Bishop in the Lord’s Church by Archbishop Charles W. Maddox, Bishop Diante’ Waldon International Presiding Prelate of the Maranatha Faith Fellowship International, and the Bishop G. Calvin Boone on January 14, 2006. On December 28, 2010 Bishop Bell received Apostolic Succession from the Right Reverend Jay E. Bunting.
He has held various credentials over the past 33+ years being licensed to the Ministry by Full Gospel Assemblies, Intl. of Coatesville, Pennsylvania and ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Christ by the Bible Fellowship Christian Church of Steelton, Pennsylvania, the Second National Baptist (Primitive) Association of Front Royal, Virginia, the Lancaster Mennonite Conference of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the Association of Evangelical Gospel Assemblies of Monroe, Louisiana, the Koinonia Fellowship of Churches of Chester, Pennsylvania, the Blood Covenant Fellowship Church of Chester Pennsylvania, and the United Evangelical Churches of America of St. Mary’s, Georgia. Bishop Bell has received a Certificate of Completion in Urban Evangelism from the Melvin Floyd School of Evangelism in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry from Cathedral University of Los Angeles, California, and a Certificate as a Certified Chaplain from the Tripp Bible Institute of Marion, North Carolina. He also has graduated from the Full Gospel Baptist Bible Institute of Upper Darby Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible and Theology, and the Regency Christian College of Jacksonville, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pastoral Ministry and a Masters Degree in Divinity, and holds a Masters Degree in Biblical Studies and has been Certified as a Chaplain from the Tripp Bible Institute of Marion, North Carolina. Also he has an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from the World Christianship Ministries of Fresno, California, and an Honorary Doctorate of Letters Degree from the Academy of Universal Global Peace of Chennai, India.
He was a former Secretary of the Pennsylvania Prison Chaplain’s Association and the Koinonia Fellowship of Churches, a former Board Member of Yoke-fellowship Prison Ministries, Inc, and a former member of the Church Committee of Justice and Mercy, Inc. He is a member of the National Certified Chaplains Association, a member of the World Bishop’s Council, an Advisory Board Member of the Association of Clergy International, and a member the Association of Charismatic and Reformed Churches. Bishop Bell serves as the Founder and Presiding Prelate of Speaking the Word of Faith P.T.M. of McDonough, Georgia and as Coadjutor of Bishop Mary Ministries of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He continues to serve as the First Assistant Presiding Prelate of the Maranatha Faith Fellowship International and is the President of the M.F.F.I. Bible Institute. Bishop Bell is presently attending the Tripp Bible Institute of Marion North Carolina where is seeking a Doctorate Degree in Divinity.
Bishop Bell lives in the City of McDonough, Georgia. He is married to Lady Carol A. Bell who is an Early Head-start Childhood Developmental Teacher at McIntosh Trails ECDC in Jackson, Georgia. They have two children, a son, Min. Benjamin Lewis Bell who lives with his family in Chester, Pennsylvania, a daughter Natalie Mae, and three grandchildren. - Website:
