- Eric Rogers, Ph.D, is Professor of Counseling and Psychology at Concordia University;Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Professor of Education and Psychology at National Louis University. In addition, he is a published author, nationally recognized lecturer, pastor-teacher, and educational consultant. A 6-time recipient of "The Teacher of the Year" award and a Harvard trained educator, Dr. Rogers is a 25 year veteran of higher education who lectures nationwide and provides seminars, presentations and workshops on Race and Ethnic Relations, Counseling, Ethics and Professional Issues, Religion & Church, Cultural Diversity, Multiculturalism, African American Studies and History, the Black Family and Special Issues/Topics in Psychology. DrEricRogers.Com is the higher education teaching ministry of Dr. Eric Rogers.
Eric Rogers, Ph.D, is a concurrent resident of Chicago, Illinois, St. Louis, Missouri and Nashville, Tennessee. A 1982 Harvard graduate, Dr. Rogers is also a 25 year veteran of higher education in which he has served as an administrator and tenured Full Professor in the field of Psychology. Dr. Rogers has an extensive professional and academic background in which he began his career as a Marketing Consultant for Transamerica Corporation in our nation's capital, Washington,D.C. He has lived and worked in Boston, Massachusetts, New York, New York, Nashville, Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky, St. Louis, Missouri and most recently, Chicago, Illinois. He is a former Research Assistant, Private School Teacher, Staff Psychologist, Counselor, and Educational Testing Consultant (administering nationally standardized tests ACT,SAT,GRE,MCAT,LSAT, G.E.D., etc.). He is also a former Federal Investigative Officer with the U.S. Department of Justice (EEOC) in which he investigated over 5,000 cases of sex, sexual harassment, age, race, disability and national origin discrimination.
Dr. Rogers has taught on various levels in higher education (community college, state,public and private 4 year research universities). He has served as an undergraduate and graduate Professor of Psychology, Education and Counseling over the years and across the United States at Roosevelt University, New York Institute of Technology, Concordia University, Maryville University, Lindenwood University, Kendall College, Argosy University, Missouri Baptist University, and the University of Kentucky. A six time recipent of "Teacher of Year" award, he is also a published author (Race, Education and the Continuing American Dilemma, 2004; Wounded Minister Reflections of A Former Pastor, 2006; The Social Gospel: From Mordecai Johnson, Vernon Johns, Howard Thurman to Martin Luther King, 2010 ; Conversations On Race: America At The Crossroads of Race and Ethnic Relations, 2010).
Dr. Rogers, is also Founder/CEO of CulturalDiversityInc.Com a national diversity and multicultural consulting firm and a Doctoral Degree Coach/Senior Consultant (DoctoralDegreeCoach.com) assisting individuals in the completion of their master's thesis and doctoral dissertations.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Psychology) from Tennessee State University (Nashville, Tennessee)and a received his Master's Degree (Psychology) from Harvard University (Cambridge, Massachusetts). In addition, he earned the Doctor of Philosophy Degree from the University of Kentucky(Lexington, Kentucky). He is currently actively involved in postdoctoral study at Harvard University and theological study (M.Div-Ph.D. Seminarian) at Dallas Theological Seminary (Dallas, Texas) and Northwestern University (Chicago, Illinois).
