- Derrick L. Blue is a unique young man whose proven, prophetic voice and ministry is being raised up by the Hand of the Lord. Because of the powerful prophetic and evangelistic mantle, people are motivated to tap in and shift into new levels and dimensions in God. While ministering, he has a way of preaching to, challenging and provoking the individual listener to be empowered by the Word. His services are not only marked by anointed preaching, but the gifts of the Spirit flow with accuracy, bringing liberty to God's people and setting the captives free. Chains are broken and strongholds are destroyed as the Gospel of the Kingdom is demonstrated. Many are healed and delivered and, as a result, many are saved.
Blue began in ministry teaching Sunday school in his local church at age twelve. By age fourteen he was laying the foundation for itinerant ministry and was ordained by sixteen. Soon after which, he spent a number of years under the leadership and mentorship of Dr. Mark Chironna.
Derrick Blue graduated from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in the field of Psychology. He is also a graduate of Calvary Bible Institute in Washington, DC, and is currently completing his Masters in Public Administration with a nonprofit specialization at Southeastern University in Washington, DC.
Blue has traveled extensively preaching and ministering the Word of the Lord. After moving to the District he united with Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church under the leadership of his spiritual parents, Bishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr. and Co-Pastor Susie C. Owens where he serves as the College and Young Adult Minister with spiritual oversight of over 2,000 young adults (ages 18 to 35).He is also the founder and president of Greater Works Outreach Ministries, Inc. As a tax-exempt nonprofit, Greater Works seeks to propagate the message of holistic empowerment, spirit, mind and body.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The music department of Shiloh U.C.C. is seeking a qualified and creative part-time piano player to play every Sunday of the month for the Women’s Choir, Men’s Choir, Young Adult/Youth Choir, and the Mass Choirs. Shiloh U.C.C. enjoys a mix of contemporary and traditional gospel music. Interested candidates must be able to teach vocal parts, recommend new songs, work with a team, work with the current Minister of Music and follow directions. Additionally, the part-time piano player must be able to travel with choirs and the church congregation in support of the pastor for invitations at other churches. The candidate must be able to practice with choirs at least twice a week in preparation for Sunday morning service. Candidates that can read music is a plus (not mandatory).
Shiloh United Church of Christ is located in rural Fayetteville, NC close to the Baywood subdivision and golf course. The church is under new leadership and headed in a new direction. To get in on the ground level of a growing ministry will be both musically and spiritually rewarding.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Candidates must have at least five years of experience in playing for a church or in a church setting.
• Must have own transportation
• Must be dependable
• Must be able to play both traditional and contemporary gospel
