About Me: (Ministry Info, Hobbies, Fav. Music etc.)
I am the Founder and Executive Director of Creative Interventions of Louisiana, Inc. An Outreach Ministry established to minister to the needs of battered and abused women and delinquent juveniles.
Kim is a dynamic orator, motivational speaker and teacher of God’s Word. Her spiritual quest began early in the grand ole Church of God in Christ at White’s Temple COGIC (Shreveport, LA) under the leadership of the late Bishop John W. White and current Pastor McLendon Winbush Sr. She later affiliated and became a member of the From Bondage to Freedom Interdenominational Ministries under the guidance and direction of Chief Apostle Cornel Hamilton. Both ministries allowed her the opportunity to serve as a leader in Sunday School, Youth and Women’s Ministries, Drama Troup and Pastoral Care. She also held the position of Church Administrator for several local ministries in which she was able to provide her talents as a Project Manager by organizing and hosting various ministry events that included women retreats, youth encampments, family conferences, workshops and seminars.
Professionally she has worked in the field of Human Resources in which she has held the position of an HR Generalist, Coordinator and Recruitment Specialist. She also has a passion for Non-Profit Administration in which she has served as a family support facilitator and advocate for community based services and programs that promote inclusion for individuals with disabilities and special needs. She is the founder and director of her own non-profit, Creative Interventions in which she provides referral and resource information for women, single parents and juvenile delinquents.
Kim was educated in the Louisiana Public School system having graduated from Caddo Magnet High. Her post-secondary studies included Dillard University (New Orleans, LA), Centenary College and Louisiana State University-Shreveport, majoring in Sociology and Management and Administration. Kim has received numerous honors and awards for her community contributions and innovative solutions in the workplace.
She currently resides Phoenix, Arizona but will always cherish her Southern roots in Shreveport, Louisiana. She is the mother of three children, JerLarance, Destiny, Cameron and the proud grandmother of granddaughter JerLayiah Clayton. She enjoys travel, Cajun Cuisine and Soul Food Cooking.
