TO MY SISTERS IN THE LORD

There comes a time in every woman's life when she has to take a close look at herself. Not at her circumstance, not at what she did, not how unfair life is or not at whom made you do it.

She has to just look at herself in all her glory and imperfection. Have you ever admired a woman who has been through changes in her life? Or have you made up in your mind that she is just messed up. Before you make this mistake, take a closer look. A woman who has endured the most unusual life is… Continue

Like Father Like Son

Abraham lied and said Sarah was his sister. (Gen. 20:2) Issac lied and said Rebekah was his sister. (Gen. 26:7). Don't be disappointed when your child becomes your mirror.

Halloween: Does Your Church Still Promote it? If So You Are Mixing the Holy with the Profane

Halloween Origins and Customs

History traces Halloween back to the ancient religion of the Celtics in Ireland. The Celtic people were very conscious of the spiritual world and had their own ideas of how they could gain access to it - such as by helping their over 300 gods to defeat their enemies in battle, or by imitating the gods in showing cleverness and cunning.

Their two main feasts were Beltane at the beginning of summer (May 1), and Samhain (pronounced… Continue

FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY… THIS IS GOOD!

In Florida, an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter and

Passover holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians, Jews and observances of their holy days.

The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized

days. The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring,"Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood… Continue

"Just Thinking"

I had a few minutes today for some down time. and I was thinking just how good it is to be in the company of great preachers and teachers of the gospel. I believe that this is a GREAT time for all of us that are willing to sacrafice ourselves for the lives of others. God is going to grant our request, so I encourage you to move from the place where you have been and allow God to speak life to your situation so you can go out and bring that herd lost sheep to the Master! We have purpose in this… Continue

Teaching our Girls .....to strive for real beauty............

Passing the Truth....on

Day in and day out, I pass the younger versions of ourselves, trying to create an identity out of looking like the latest fashion icon (within their financial portfolio), behaving in the manner of whoever the "It Girl" is at this current moment. And striving to be known for being themselves while taking on the attributes of whoever is notorius for getting what she wants.

They have come to rely on the latest joint dropped… Continue

The Presence of God

I was blessed to start the new year in consecration to God. The first seven days of this year I shut into a church for a time of prayer, fasting and worship with the Lord. What an incredible experience it was. This was not the first time I have done this, in fact I started 2008 and 2005 the same way and I have done many shut-ins in the course of my walk with Christ, always seeking intimate time with Him.

This year was very different. While every time we seek to set aside intimate… Continue

You Have To Start With Nothing!

As I was in Math class on Monday, we were discussing Rational and Irrational numbers, integers, etc. Then our teacher discussed whole numbers. For those who been out of school for a minute, whole numbers must begin with zero. When I seen this, I knew it had to be an epiphany or revelation to share with you, my facebook family.

If you want to experience the full or WHOLE manifest of what you're expecting or what God has for you, you must begin at an empty place. When beginning at an… Continue

A Lesson About Humility

A LESSON ABOUT HUMILITY

Micah 6:6-8; Romans 12:3

By Dr. R. J. Lightsey II

The Random House College Dictionary defines “humility” as the qualities or conditions of being humble; a modest sense of one’s own importance; lowliness, meekness.

There are many times when the children of God don’t act with humility. Too often, we draw attention to ourselves (and that‘s usually when we are not acting to the best of our God-given ability), and we strive to be the… Continue

Purpose

Purpose

Life only bring a few chances for us to success

Spread abroad with a dim light of hope that I can do this or that

Funny how you think you have something down to a science

And find out this game of life have already mastered you.

How did we allow fear to lick us so closely?

That made us stuck in the same position for years

No, these are just the facts of life

But the truth is “I Will Make It”!

This is not just a saying but what I live… Continue

What was the "Cock Crow" at Jesus' Denial By Peter?

What is the cock crow that Jesus mentioned to Peter the night of their Passover feast? Most believe that Jesus was referring to a rooster, but was Jesus referring to Roman divisions of night watches? Let us investigate.

Mark 14:30

30 And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.(KJV)

The cock crow and what it is.

The cock crow has been thought… Continue

The Message in the Neatly Folded Napkin in Jesus' Tomb- Fiction!

The Message in the Neatly Folded Napkin in Jesus' Tomb-Fiction!

Summary of the eRumor:

According to this forwarded email, the head covering over the body of Jesus Christ in the grave was a neatly "folded napkin." It goes on to say that among Jews of the time a master would let his servants know whether he was finished eating or coming back to the table by the way he left his napkin. If he tossed it aside, he was finished. If he folded it, he was not finished and… Continue

Steeples- Does Your Church Building Have One? If So WHY???

Steeples On Church Buildings

The next time you are driving through your town notice the landscape and the horizon, you will see churches from the Roman Catholic to he Baptist and Methodist all topped with a steeple as though there is some Biblical mandate for it. However, you can search the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and never see any indication that a house for worship of the true an living God, contained such a structure.

In Thess. 5, hwe are admonished to "Prove… Continue
