Alone with God.

God said to Moses in Exodus 34:2-3, “…Be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount. And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.”

Our relationship with God is personal. Thank God for the blessings of gathering together with other saints and the power of cooperate prayers but relationship with God…

Separate to operate.

The practice of quietness is vital for divine guidance because often times God speaks in a still small voice. In 1Kings 19:11-13, Elijah sought to hear from the Lord and according to scriptures, there was first of all a strong wind that brake the rocks in pieces but God was not in the wind. Then there was an earthquake followed by fire but God was not in any of them. After the fire there was a still small voice and then the Lord spoke to Elijah. How did it happen? Elijah separated… Continue

What do you see?

2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory…” You can’t look at God and not end up looking like God. Those who look at God will look like God, those who look at men will look like men. When you look at men you end up as a dwarf, but when you look at God you grow up into a giant.

What you see defines your future. What you see limits your destiny. Saul and the other great… Continue

Your daily exercise.

Every Christian is a ‘dead man’! We died with Christ on the cross and we identified with His death through baptism. So, the Bible says you should consider yourself as dead unto sin but alive unto God. What is it about the dead? The dead does not know anything, the dead does not move, nothing appeals to a dead man. So, when it says, “Consider yourself dead unto sin,” it means don’t let it appeal to you any more. Romans 6:7 says, “For he that is dead is freed from sin.” Whenever you are faced… Continue

Take advantage of prayer.‏

There is more to prayer than just asking for and receiving things from God. The apostles in the early church knew what prayer could do in their lives and ministry, that was why they resolved with all determination, "…We will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the Word" (Acts 6:4). And every time they prayed, something happened. When you know what you stand to gain, not only will you be motivated to pray continually, every prayer exercise you engage in will bring you… Continue

On prayer 2

Prayer is one of the greatest assets of the redeemed. It is our communication link with God, our heavenly Father. Unfortunately, however, many are either not taking advantage of the privilege or they approach it wrongly. No wonder you hear them say, "I have exhausted prayer, yet there is no breakthrough." James 4:2-3 tells us the reason for their failure:

Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

Ye…

On prayer.

And it came to pass, that, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said unto Him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. And He said unto them, when ye pray, say... Luke 11:1-2

Prayer is one of the most important rights God has given His children. Prayer is the breath of the regenerated spirit. Its very importance demands that we know how to go about it. For, except we know how to pray in the God-given way, we can be certain that we…

Your calling,your business.

Ministry is described as business by Christ.

Giving it a business approach is the only way to escape reproach of failure that has become the trade mark of many.Business is about been serious minded, i.e. facing your calling with all sense of commitment.

Renew your strength.

I believe one of the reasons God made day and night is not only for demarcation but also for the purpose of renewal, because at the end of each day, we rest, get refreshed and renewed to continue the race. So, there is a continuous process of renewal on a daily basis. Almost everything in life is made to require renewal from time to time.Whatever you use without renewal will soon get exhausted or extinguished, and this applies to our spiritual lives.

Often times we talk of…

Follow and be made.

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matt 4:19). Ministry is a call, that is why it is sometimes referred to as ‘calling.’ It is a call, primary to follow, not to lead. And until you follow well you cannot lead well. It is sad to note in ministry today that most people only want to be masters and commanders, very few want to follow. And that is why they are not made. There is no making without a following. Abraham followed God and God made him. Peter and… Continue

Time to hunger for more.

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled" (Matt. 5:6). You cannot be more filled than you are hungry. The hungrier you are for God, the more satisfaction you stand to enjoy.

More hunger more filling; more hunger more experience; more hunger more of God! So, you see, you are the one who determines how far you go with God. In the natural for instance, it is your container that determines how much water you fetch from the ocean and…

It is possible through prayers.

One major benefit of prayer is captivity turning. The righteous is always Satan’s target and he has just one objective for doing that; he wants to frustrate the believer and wear him out. He wants him to stop believing God, and to curse God so that he can be drawn out of the safety of divine covering to the open where he will be made an easy prey for satanic forces to deal with. But Psalm 34:19 says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous but God delivereth him out of them all.” Not out… Continue

Connecting Power Through Prayer.

One of the foremost products of prayer is power. Prayer connects us to the power of God. When we are in prayer we are in power.

Power is the ability to do work or function in a certain capacity. That is having the authority to enforce law or be in control. Revelations 1:6 says that we have been made kings and priests unto God by Christ Jesus. But it takes power to reign in that capacity, it takes supernatural power to function as heaven’s ambassadors on earth and to exercise…

We Should Be Like David.

There is no better man or woman to talk about when it comes to spiritual zeal than David, the psalmist. He said, "As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God" (Ps 42:1). That was the cry of his heart. He was constantly longing for God. God in the morning, God in the afternoon, God at night. Everything about him was God. He said, "Seven times a day do I praise thee…" And "Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray…" (Ps 119:164, Ps 55:17). That was the… Continue
