How Great An Anointing Do You Desire?
Matthew 6:6} But when you pray, go into your most private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret, and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.
More and more these days God is calling us to draw near to Him, to spend quality time with Him. When we pray He doesn't want theatrical productions from us. Nor does He want us to be led by doctrines, religions and mens ways teaching us that we can pray only a certain way, a religious way. God wants us to go in a room, get real quiet with Him first to see if He has something to say to us, which He does most of the time if we can keep still long enough to listen, and to pray honestly from our hearts. He desires us to be real with Him. He simply expects us to speak to Him the way we do one another every day. It doesn't have to be a formula! There are many so-called prayer warriors who are actually prayer ignorant. Some are full of formulas, programs and advice. They peddle techniques they believe you should follow in order to reach the heart and ears of God. It's time for us to be led by the Spirit and not so much the dictates of people.
God desires to open our spiritual minds in order to see more of His truths that we are not aware of yet. He also wants to open our eyes to see in the spirit realm more than we ever have before. Many of us are still seeing with our natural eyes and we focus so much on the natural that we forget about what may be going on in the spiritual realm. God is taking us to a higher place in Him and with Him. But this is going to take some determination and dedication from us. We have to ask ourselves are we true disciples? Are we studying the word for ourselves to rightly divide and show ourselves approved by God or are we still relying on those teachers who are spoon feeding us? We have time to watch soap operas, our favorite shows on tv, doing things we really enjoy, yet we keep making excuses that we just don't have time for God and keep putting Him on the back burner so to speak. It's time to get out of our lazy and complacent mentality and step up to the plate for the time God is calling us into. The more time we spend with God and in His word, the more He will empower us and anoint us. We will get to that place where the things of this world will not matter to us as much as the things of God's Kingdom. That will be a place where we will not be shaken to easily but we will begin to shake the gates of hell. We can and should be setting our enemy on the run at every turn! Who wouldn't want that? But God needs our cooperation. Is He getting it? Is He getting our full cooperation?
We need to remember that we are going through a day to day transformation by the Holy Spirit who is within us. If we are not feeding our spirit with the word of God, if we are not being connected with the Body of Christ, if we are disobeying God in any way and stuck at the beginning where we think salvation is enough, then we are missing it totally! There is great power in the corporate anointing! We are being sifted to see who is wheat and who is chaff. God is checking us to see if we are just going through religious exercises or stepping into spiritual reality. This time of testing will follow with a time of restoration. But don't expect to reap what you haven't sown. God is testing us to see who is really in love with Him, who will continue in obedience, and who will remain faithful in running the race until they have reached the goal. Have you remained faithful, disciplined, obedient and so much in love with Him that you seek Him with all your mind, heart and soul? If not, better get to it. He is preparing us for something that is overwhelming glorious in the days to come. Will you be like the virgins who were without oil when the Bridegroom came? Or will your lamps be full? The ball is in your court. God bless you. I love you, but Jesus loves you so much more than I ever could.
