There is an on-going battle between Love and Lust. Ever since Adam and Eve fell into sin, there has been a continuous struggle between Love and Lust. The two are opposites though they are often mistaken for each other. There is a thin line between Love and Lust that can only be seen by people with spiritual eyes & discernment. True Love comes from God. Love is a product of God and God himself is Love. So anyone that Loves his brother and neighbor is of God. Lust is from the devil. They that walk in the lust of the flesh are captives or slaves of the demons of lust. God command us to walk in Love so that we would not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Love gives us victory over Lust. Walking in Love all the time keeps us from fulfilling the Lust of the flesh. When our Love for God is complete and perfect, even fear would have no room in our lives. When this happens, our obedience to God is total and there would be no room for the devil in our lives.

God is Love, so when we walk in Love, we actually walk in God. When you walk in God, you walk in the Spirit. For God is Spirit. The natural or carnal man cannot understand the things of God for they are foolishness to him. The natural man is lustful and cannot please God. We all know God doesn’t hear the prayers of sinners. God only hears the prayer of a man filled with faith.

Every minute, every second, there is a constant battle between Love and Lust. It is a constant battle between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. The devil goes about seeking those he may devour. His demons of lust are everywhere. They are continually luring people into sin. We must put on the whole armour of Love (God) at all times in order to be able to withstand and resist them continually.

True Love always seek to please and obey God. True Love is patient, gentle and humble. In fact, all the elements of the fruit of Spirit are products of Love. For Love produces Joy, Peace, Long-suffering, Love, Meekness, Gentleness, Temperance, Faith, Goodness.

Lust always seeks to please self. A sinful man always seek to fulfill the lust of his flesh. The demons of Lust always seek to please the devil. The demons induce the Lust of the eyes, Lust of the flesh and pride of life in men and these manifests as Lust for women, power, sex, money etc. In fact, all the works of the flesh are products of Lust. For Lust produces adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries and the likes.

Many times, the devil tries to make counterfeits of God`s original works. So at times, he makes Lust look like true Love. He makes men to see mirages instead of the original thing. Satan has so much blinded the minds of many people and they are deluded to think that the Lust they feel is true Love. They believe it is okay to have sex outside the confines of marriage so they indulge in oral sex, fornication and adultery. Many humans have become so blind that they involve themselves in homosexuality, lesbianism, masturbation, sodomy etc. Men have sex with men. Women have sex with women. Humans have sex with their own very self. People have sex through the anus (sodomy). To these people, the anus have become a sex organ. Some people have even gone crazy to the extent that they change their gender /sex through medical operation. Men become Women and Women become Men. Some humans have even become so insane that they have sex with animals (bestiality). Men make love to goats. Dogs make love to women. There is also a dressing insanity that has affected the dressing of many. Some men wants to dress like ladies. Some ladies wants to dress like men. Men wear ear-rings and plait their hair.

We must not forget that we are now in the end-time. We can now see the full manifestation of Love and full manifestation of Lust on planet earth. The kingdom of God is waxing stronger and gaining more grounds. There is an outpouring of God`s manifest Love and presence. On the other hand, the kingdom of the devil is also working. There is a full manifestation of the spirit of Lust on the earth. The love of many have gone cold and many have been enticed by seducing spirits. In the days of Sodom and Gomorrah there was evil but the evil of these days seem to be more. These days, we see even true believers been enticed by sin. The days that Christ prophesied about are here. If it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived.

A very good example of someone who had extreme Love for God at one time and had extreme lust at another time is a biblical figure called Solomon. At the beginning of his reign. He loved God so much that he offered a thousand burnt offerings to him. Later in his life, he was driven by so much lust that he literally offered a thousand living sacrifices to the devil. The thousand living sacrifices were his wives. For he had seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines. They all worshiped idols and other gods. His lust for women was extreme and his wives drew him far away from God. He became so lost that he even offered burnt offerings to the devil.

There is a call to Love. God is calling us to walk in love always. Are you indulging yourself in any form of lustful act? If you are, come out of it and come into the love of the Father. Renew your mind with the words of Love(God) by meditating on scriptures. God demands full obedience, not partial obedience so surrender your whole heart to him. Give him your all. Don`t hold back anything. There is a call to walk in unconditional love. Love the Lord, your God with all your heart, mind and soul and love your neighbors as yourself. Forgive all that offend you and love your enemies as well.

In conclusion, I would like to state that you should always fear and honor God. If you truly love & fear him then you would keep his commandments and flee from sin and fleshly lust. The battle continues. Selah.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter; Fear God, and keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man”- Ecclesiastes 12: 13.
