PASTOR/MINSTER AND THE CHURCH !!!!!

I WAS TALKING TO A MEMBER OF A LOCAL CHURCH WHO IS NOT FUN OF HER PASTOR NOT BECAUSE OF SOMETHING HE HAD DONE .BUT HER STATEMENT WAS ALL PASTOR ARE CHEATERS,LIERS,AND LOVE MONEY.AND A QUESTION CAME TO MY MINE IS WHY IS THERE SO MUCH DISTRUST FOR PASTORS WHY DO WE PUT ALL PREACHER/PASTOR IN THE SAME CUP.WHAT HAPPEN TO BEING LED BY THE SPIRIT. AND WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO BRING RESPECT BACK TO THIS OFFICE?????

COULD THE PROBLEM BE THAT CHURCHES IS NOT SEEKING GOD FOR WHO HE HAS FOR THERE PASTORS AND PASTOR IS NOT SEEKING GOD ON WHERE THEY SHOULD CARRY HIS WORD SO ONCE GOD CHURCH GT BACK IN ORDER THEN WE WILL CONT TO HAVE LIERS AS PASTOR CAUSE THEY GO BY HIS EARTHLY DEGREE NOT HIS HAVENLY R ELATIONSHIP BUT I DONT BELIVE YOU CAN BLAME THE PREACHERS FOR ALL THE PROBLEM IN THE CHURCH YES LONNIE THAT IS SOME WHAT TRUE BUT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TRUST THE MAN OF GOD OR WOMEN OF GOD TO BRING THE TRUE WORD YOU HAVE SOME WHO CANT READ OR WRITE ORSEE AND SOME CANT UNDERSTAND THE WORD SO THE PASTOR IS VERY INPORANT BUT WHAT CAN WE DO TO BRING GODDLESS BACK TO THIS BIBLECAL OFFICE THAT GOD HIMSELF ORDIAN

DFid you know TV Ministries has a financial Mark they have to meet every month??? the Network has to get paid and so does everyone else,,I heard Joyce Myers say that she has to come up with $8 to 10 million a month,,utilizing TV broadcasting..now she did come clean ,,some wont report it,,,she does recycle her money back into africa and poor families,,,and when the IRS came to see the books she did open them and allowed tem to view her earnings,,,everyone else pretty much got out of dodge..LOL

I agree with Lonnie Klutz
people will say the Pastor prayed for me ,,,which is good,,,,but now days depending on the Pastor,,,the Pastor will PREY on you..we need to get to the point in life where we need to know how to hear Gods voice for ourself and not to lean on someone else to go to God on your behalf

Lonnie what you've said is VERY true as well. Folks barely pick up their Bibles let alone read them.

Well, just look at what we have going around. We have pastors who don't teach the word. We have people ( church members) who won't read the word. Then we have people that say everything is someone elses fault but theirs. We won't take responsibility for our own actions because pastor lied to me. It's not pastor's fault he lied to you. It's your fault for listenin g to a lier and not reading the word and checking behind him. But we listen to the ones on T.V. and think they know it all, call them anointed and sware the know everything, when they are the ones that's lying to you.

Amen to all. Good point Sis Tara "People can be negative and out right criticize everything a pastor will do but guess what we will always have them around however it's up to the Pastor to stay true to the word no matter what. ".....SO very TRUE!

I agree with what all of you said but to add that when our focus is in the wrong place and people disappoint you then you get angry at man but by no means should that affect your feelings for God because he already told us in his word not to put any confidence in the flesh. There are some really good Pastors that are living what the bible teaches and no Pastor should be Judged based on what the last pastor have done. People can be negative and out right criticize everything a pastor will do but guess what we will always have them around however it's up to the Pastor to stay true to the word no matter what.

IT IS A EYE AND EAR SORE TO HEAR AND SEE THIS ,,,BUT IT IS TRUE AND IT IS A MISCARRIAGE TO THE MINISTRY,,,GOD IN-PREGNATED US WITH MINISTRIES,,SOME PEOPLE ABORTED THERE MINISTRY OR DID NOT RAISE IT THE WAY THAT GOD TOLD THEM !!

Very true Rev. Luckett. We shouldn't be JUDGING in the FIRST place. It IS amazing how folks will come to a business meeting but skip Sunday School and Bible Study. People say the same nonsense about my Pastor, sadly, however, I know better because my position in the church allows me to see where the dollars go. It's amazing how people can also ASSUME that because the Man of God is blessed he is stilling from God's people.

People tend to throw all Pastors in the same "boat" after they have had more than one negative experience with a Pastor/leader. As sad as it is, sometimes, people make the same statement only using information they've "heard" about a Pastor (bitter members gossipping). What does it take to restore the respect to this office? Simple, the Pastors earning the respect they desire. While all Pastors shouldn't be looked at the same, those that are on the "up and up" should carry themselves accordingly.
