Webster defines fear as “an unpleasant, often strong emotion cause by anticipation or awareness of danger.” Fear is a very painful emotion, often followed by alarm. When we are fearful, it simply means that we have allowed some object or some other person or some situation to become so large in our consciousness, in the way we see it, in the appearance of it, that we become fearful of it and lose control of ourselves. Then the fear, the thing we dread, seems to be in total command of us. Our lives feel ruined and out of control. But we don’t have to be afraid. Fear is an emotion, and emotions are ours to control; the emotion does not control us, we are in charge of the emotion. The best way to work with fear is to get a better understanding of God’s word, a better understanding of who we are in relationship to God, and to work with the Divine plan for our betterment.

Fear Is Man-Made, Not God-Given

What we need to become convinced of is the words in 2 Timothy 1:7: “God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and or sound mind.” I take this to mean that we cannot overcome fear with human power, but by the Spirit of the living God that is within us. That what most of us don’t realize. When we call forth the power of this living Spirit within us, we don’t have to be fearful. To condition your mind to seek the Truth and to focus your thoughts on your highest good and to learn the word God for yourself.

Dear Deacon Corinne,
Thank you for the invitation to read your words of comfort, peace and joy. I believe and receive your God –filled words of deliverance from the enemy’s trickery of fear. I invite and welcome you to go to my page and give me your thoughts and minister your words from God on the topics on my page. I believe this is where we get our strength and solidarity; when we intertwine and meditate on God’s word and through praising Our God together.
I agree with you whole–heartedly. We have all heard the old adage “Fear is -False evidence appearing real. There is lot of things going on in the world today that are truly scary. But because we believe and are children of the most High God, we think and operate not in the carnal man but we think and operate in the spiritual man. We know that He is our rock and our shield. As you stated in 2 Timothy 1:7 we read that” God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love and of sound mind”. Everywhere you turn , from the newsstands on the busy street corners , to the airways of radio, television, and the internet we are blasted with tragic and horrific stories of trouble, illness and despair But because we believe and are children of the most High God , we know that our God’s word will not return to Him void , so we find peace and safety in the holy scripture ,Ephesians 6:12 “We WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, BUT AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES, AGAINST POWERS, AGAINST THE RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THS WORLD, AGAINST SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES “. But because we believe and are children of the most High God, we know we can bind the spirit of fear that we can bind and command away in the name of Jesus. Believing and trusting in God and His Holy Word is our armor AND THE Holy Ghost is our comforter.
In fact it is God’s commandment that we live not in fear Isaiah 41:10 “Fear thou not, for I am with the, be NOT dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee-yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of righteousness”. Amen God Bless you Sister
