Let Your Yes Be Yes & Your No Be No
Matthew 5:37} Let your Yes be simply Yes, and your No be simply No; anything more than that comes from the evil one.
James 1:22) But be doers of the Word (obey the Message), and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves (into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth).
When we became born again believers we were saying Yes to the Lord and Yes to His Word. Yet many of God's own people today are actually saying no to Him. So many of God's own people today are being deceived. I was talking to a precious child of God on Sunday. She said she was Baptist and always will be Baptist. She said, however, that she gets what my church is all about...it's about them having the Holy Spirit. When will people realize that it goes a lot deeper than denominations? God is not about denominations, He is about relationships, deep and intimate ones. Most of the people in my church are working on an intimate relationship with God on a daily basis. That is why God is working so awesomely in our church setting people free. This girl I spoke with has no clue as to what real freedom is! The people in my church are not just hearers of the Word, they are doers. When we said Yes to Jesus we said Yes to obedience to Him and to His word. Yet many are not getting this and falling back on their walk with the Lord.
I know I may be repeating things from previous sharings here, but I did ask the Lord what He wanted to say. God will keep repeating things hoping that we will get it. Sadly many of us hear the word and keep doing our own thing. If we are truly walking the walk then our spirits should not only be filled with Holy Ghost power it should be overflowing with the love of God. Not only for one another but love for God. We should be so hungry to get into His presence and develop an intimacy that is so deep that we will be covered with His presence, His anointing and we will hear His voice clearly at all times. So many people today are listening to the wrong voices just because they ''sound'' holy. We need to remember that even Satan knows the word of God yet he will twist it just enough for it to make sense to us yet be far from the truth of God's Word. That is why it's so important not to just read, meditate and take in the Word but to obey God's command to study it to rightly divide.
This young lady also told me she hadn't been to church in a while but it was ok because she had Christian friends that she hung around with. Hello? This is a lie from the pits of hell and is spreading like wild fire in the Body of Christ. It is not ok! We need to be in a corporate Body where the corporate anointing is taking hold. We are to be fitly joined together so that God can empower us. To be united and to gather together in an assembly is like an umbrella of protection over us! The Body is there to be a blessing to us. And we are to be a blessing to them! They can see things operating in us that we may not see and they will pray for deliverance. Sickness and disease may hit us and the Body is there to pray and agree together for healing. Satan's plan is to divide and conquer. He will tell us it's ok to miss church and do our own thing on the Sabbath. Why is it we cannot take one single day to honor and worship our Lord? Too many of us have allowed our walk to become shallow. Then all hell hits us and we wonder why.
God is calling us to a time where we need our Yes to be Yes and our No to be No. Either we choose to truly dig our heels in and be faithful with our walk with God and not compromise our walk in any way. Or we can choose to keep doing business as usual. We cannot serve two masters for we will hate one and love the other. We need to remind ourselves that for every choice we make there will be an outcome. If we make wrong choices there will be a price to pay. If we choose to be obedient and faithful to God and His Word then we can be assured there will be great blessings waiting for us. Those blessings aren't just when we get to heaven, they are now! How much we are faithful to God, how much we obey Him and His commands will show us how deep our walk and love is for Him. We always seem to have time to do daily chores, to get away and have fun, we have time for everything else going on in our lives.....so why do we always have an excuse when it comes to the things of God? Good question, one we should be asking ourselves. Why? Because there should be no excuses when it comes to God! To say no in any way is only hurting ourselves. How Satan loves it when we are rebellious and after our own indulgences and pleasures. So who do you think we are glorifying when we do this? It's surely not God. Allow God to search your hearts daily. Ask Him to take anything out of you that is displeasing to Him. Be quick to repent, to forgive and most of all to say Yes to God. God bless you. I love you, but Jesus loves you so much more than I ever could.
