Matthew 7:24-27 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

What is our house built on? Do we obey all God's commands? Are we just hearers of the word or are we doers? God has many commands throughout His word that we need to obey. If we don't read or study the word than we will be ignorant of those commands. When we are ignorant the floods will come and destroy our spiritual, emotional and physical homes. The Word is needed to fight a victorious spiritual battle. The word internalized is the enemy neutralized. When we are full of the Word we will be well prepared to speak to the mountains in our lives and make them bow. We will go through every trial and tribulation that comes our way with flying colors. Yet, sadly enough, many Christians today are believing the lie that they don't need to even look at God's word. They believe that the less they know the less they will be accountable. They are in for a rude awakening because when we stand before the Lord we will be very accountable for what we know and what we don't know. There is no way to get out of being judged by our King for our lifestyle, our actions, our deeds or lack thereof.

We have many foolish people today who even refuse to go to church and to sit under some authority. What they are refusing is the glorious transformation and change in our lives that await us. God is moving in our churches and many are missing it. What happens then is that the enemy has pulled them away from their safety net, the body of Christ, and then he will come to rob, kill and destroy. His plan has always been to divide and conquer. And most of those who do not attend church are following their emotions more than the Spirit of God. Any form of disobedience will bring some type of calamity into our lives. Some will say, well even if we are connected we will still hit calamities. Yes, that's true. God said while we are in this world we will face many trials and tribulations but when we are connected we will have victory in those things. When we aren't connected we will keep going over and over the same trials until we get a clue that God is trying to bring us back to the fold.

Every single day we should be working on our salvation. We should be maturing, our faith should be getting stronger and stronger, and more of Jesus should be showing through us. We should be going from one glorious transformation to another. Instead many of us just love our pity parties and refuse to enter God's army and do spiritual battle. Some love this world so much that they have one foot in the world and the other in God's Kingdom. What do I mean by that? They are easily pulled into the world and have made it a god over their God. The things of this world take priority over the things of God. There's no other way to put it. We need to have God as top priority in every area of our lives. We should be learning a mighty lesson from those in the Bible. They sought God in everything and that is why they were blessed so magnificently. We rely on this world and other people way too much. It's time we are led by the Spirit in all things. We should not be put under condemnation or guilt by others who say we should do this and do that when we are not led by the Spirit of God to do something. It is not by our might nor by our power but by the power of the Spirit of the Lord. Without Him we are nothing and can do nothing, we need to remember that.

One thing that we need to meditate on is that if we are lukewarm or cold He will spit us out of His mouth. We will get to heaven's gate and He will say "I know you not!" Not my words, His word. Search it for yourselves. When we are not working on our relationship with God we are in dangerous territory. I don't know about you but I would much rather hear "Well done, good and faithful servant." We have way too many people who are also into ''works." They think by attending this and that, by running after this experience and that one, by doing, doing, doing all the time they are right with God. Again, we need to be led by the Spirit. Some Christians are actually burnt out and exhausted from their works many times because it is not led by God. Being there every time the church doors open doesn't make us a good Christian. Our relationship with God and how intimate we are with Him does. Let's take time daily to get into God's word and see what He has to say. Let us study it to rightly divide and to show ourselves approved unto God. We don't need people's approval, we need God's approval. Let us be connected to Him and to His body as never before. In this way we will be in a win-win situation. Let us run the good race right to the end. Faithfulness, tenacity, persistence, all these qualities should be within us. We are not quitters, we are overcomers! God bless you. I love you, but Jesus loves you so much more than I ever could.
