Who will Go AGAINST What Jesus Says! Twelves hours is TWELVE HOURS!!!!

Let's stop this and go to the scriptures. Let us let Jesus himself tell us how many hours are in a day;

[9] Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

Now if you want to go against what is CLEARLY told to us then sobeit. Jesus tells us PLAINLY how HE counts the days. And for Him a day is equal to TWELVE HOURS!!!!

So it really does not matter how anyone thinks the "Jews of the day" counted a day. The ONLY one that counts has already told us.

Now that we know just how many hours are in a day let's figure this out with common sense.

Jesus said (3) days He would be in the grave, that would be (3) twelve hour periods and that equals 36hrs.

Now even if we took that fact alone there is NO WAY you can get 36hrs from Fri. to when Jesus rose. 36hrs will take us to sunrise, and as we know, "it was yet dark", when Mary went to the grave.

Now when you add the fact that Jesus said He would be in the grave for (3) days AND (3) nights you now have 72 hours Jesus HAD to be in the grave.

Now getting bact to brother Hezekiah's question;

According to the way Jesus tells us how many hours are in a day, How on earth can you get what Jesus said, 3 days AND 3 nights between Fri. evening and Sun. BEFORE sunrise?

This is his question and Jesus gave us the figures to use....now you guys go back and think about what you have been following all of these years!

Unless of course someone thinks Jesus didn't really mean exactly (12) hours!!!!!

This is a very INTERESTING DEBATE I for One am a person who relies on SCRIPTURE but then we have this one little PROBLEM INTERPRETATION! No where in the Bible does it say INERPRET THE SCRIPTUREs No where but it does say in Gen 40:8 INTERPRETATION BELONGS to YAHWEH! Chaplain Pat Harris, Anthony R. Watson and A. W. Bowman; stand in disagreement against Hezekiah and Ecc12:3 and it is UNDERSTANDABLE because they bring some very DIFFERENT, STRANGE IDEAS to the vent. Me I am nuetral because I grew up in a baptist church but once I prayed to Yahweh for the TRUTH and UNDERSTANDING. He led me to some STRANGE but DIFFERENT IDEAS! It was hard to accept it because i was NOT USED TO CHANGE! I think these 2 scriptures really helped me to be OPEN TO NEW IDEAS but NOT GULLIBLE at the same TIME!

No matter how the word is brought to us if it is BACKED UP BY SCRIPTURE with LOGIC we BEST BELIEVE IT. One last point..... look at the word "TRADITION"

TRADITION comes from the Latin traditionem, acc. of traditio which means "handing over, passing on", and is used in a number of ways in the English language:

1.Beliefs or customs taught by one generation to the next, often orally
2.A broad religious movement made up of religious denominations or church bodies that have a common history, customs, culture, and, to some extent, body of teachings.

I am not saying Hezek and eccl12 is right but what i am saying WE BEST BE OPENMINDED!!

"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."

Not saying you must make a choice now, but at some point you will have to make up your mind.

Now let me ask you, Jesus said He would be in the grave for 3 days AND 3 nights. Jesus also said there are 12 hours in a day. Is there any way to fit 3 days = 36hrs AND 3 night = 36hrs into the time frame from Fri. evening to Sun. while it was yet dark?

I'm a Christian that does not stand for the "Good Friday"doctrine. HE was not crucified on a Friday at all. However, the scriptures state that HE was alive by Sunday morning. A Friday crucifiction does not equate to 3days and 3 nights in the grave.

I understand the Arguments of the Sunday Christians, but we must be reasonable. Nothing that the Sunday Christians do add up according to the scriptures. That is all we are saying. We are not saying that the Sunday Christians are bad, or you can't serve God.
