OK, and the point of posting this in Hebrew was................?
There is no point being made, it's the bible in the original formate.

Yours truly,
Anthony Smith
This is stupid... Most people on here don't speak Hebrew...
So the bible is stupid in Hebrew or Aramaic?
So Moses was stupid for writing some of the first biblical record in Hebrew?
I disagree, I don't think the Bible is stupid in Hebrew, Aramaic, Afrikaans, Arabic, Hindu, Greek, Italian, Spanish or any other language.

But you touched on something important, the word "STUPID." It's stupid because you don't understand. That remind me of the so-called discoverers of this "The New World," that was an "Old World" already discovered by the Native Americans, they couldn't really understand Navajo, Cherokee, or the many other languages Native Americans spoke so they deemed them stupid people & they felt the same way about the first African slaves in this so-called 'New World" construction they didn't understand swahili or many of the other languages slaves spoke so they were deemed a stupid race until they learned English & begin expressing their pain & the core principles that should be allowed to Africans & the many injustice backed by the American constitution that crippled millions of Africans, not mentioning the Africans that thought life was fare & equal because they didn't work in the field, life was equal to them because they could bath & eat properly they didn't suffer in their masters house as long as they knew their place. Imagine how far advanced this world would be if many took the time to understand one & other centuries ago, like we do today. Being bilingual is nothing to some Americans now-a-days. Old & young will learn a language, not for a class, just for the fun of it.

Both of those tribes African & Native American languages have all but died out.
English has survived, I say again English have survived. Not only that, since we are becoming a multi-cultural America I see many Asians, Latinos & Indians speaking their native language proudly.
In many cases at universities their being accommodated & once they learn english their already bilingual & more qualified for a job position. Ha! Ha! Ha!

History fact:
Western Hemisphere at the time of the first European contact was inhabited by 40 million people who spoke 1,800 different tongues. Another widely accepted estimate suggests that at the time of Columbus more than 15 million speakers throughout the Western Hemisphere used more than 2,000 languages; the geographic divisions within that estimate are 300 separate tongues native to some 1.5 million Native Americans N of Mexico, 300 different languages spoken by roughly 5 million people in Mexico and Central America, and more than 1,400 distinct tongues used by 9 million Native Americans in South America and the West Indies.

By the middle of the 20th cent., as a result of European conquest and settlement in the Western Hemisphere, perhaps two thirds of the many indigenous American languages had already died out.

Maybe it's something you should learn.

I believe learning hebrew would be a good thing. Most of us are not there yet. Maybe an interlinear or a translation of what you posted would be more helpful to us who do not know even basic hebrew.

Even a book and chapter would be helpful.

But i see your point now.

peace.
Look how you judge me, and put words into my mouth. I know whose son you are Bother Anthony...
I'm my fathers son, who past away.
I didn't put words in your mouth, I stated how folks could feel it's stupid because they don't speak the language. If it's not for you, than I'm sure there are other post on the site that's for you.

Yours truly,
Anthony Smith
You don't understand, nor do you want to try to...
Let me tell you something, "THERE IS NO POINT TO UNDERSTAND BETWEEN YOU & I" I posted the bible, pure & simple, for those who could understand than we can contact one & other. If you don't like it than move on. IT'S NOT A POINT FOR YOU TO GET, I'M NOT TRYING IMPRESS ANYONE BY SPEAKING SPEAKING IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE.

Yours truly,
Anthony Smith

I'm inclined to agree with Hez on this one. This IS stupid. The part that is stupid is the fact that ALMOST NO ONE on BPN knows whats been written!! It is absolutely stupid to post scriptures up and the people cannot read it! How can I say Amen to it if I don't know what it says? I don't even know what passage of scripture it is, and you think that such a thing isn't stupid?!?! You say its the Bible, but how do I know that? for all I know it could be verses from the Satanic Bible translated into Hebrew!! You have yet to interpret the words, which is absolutely foolish of you.

Do you read Cantonese? If I wrote something important to you in the Cantonese dialect, what good would it do you if you don't know a word of it?

Acts 2:5-12 "And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?"

1st Corinthians 14:6-19 "Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me. Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified. I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue."

Its a simple concept. If you find glory in posting it in Hebrew, thats nice. The greater glory is in the UNDERSTANDING of the Word of GOD, not the posting of the Word in a dialect that no one understands.

Proverbs 4:5-7 "Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding."
If I saw something in Cantonese, I wouldn't keep posting on that tread. I would simply move on to something I understand. The first hand-written English language Bible manuscripts were produced in the 1380's AD by John Wycliffe, an Oxford professor, scholar, and theologian. Wycliffe, he was well-known throughout Europe for his opposition to the teaching of the organized Church, which he believed to be contrary to the Bible, contrary meaning opposite in nature. With the help of his followers, called the Lollards, and his assistant Purvey, and many other faithful scribes, Wycliffe produced dozens of English language manuscript copies of the scriptures. In the 1490’s another Oxford professor, and the personal physician to King Henry the 7th and 8th, Thomas Linacre, decided to learn Greek. After reading the Gospels in Greek, and comparing it to the Latin Vulgate, he wrote in his diary, “Either this (the original Greek) is not the Gospel… or we are not Christians.” The Latin had become so corrupt that it no longer even preserved the message of the Gospel… yet the Church still threatened to kill anyone who read the scripture in any language other than Latin… though Latin was not an original language of the scriptures. The 1516 Greek-Latin New Testament of Erasmus further focused attention on just how corrupt and inaccurate the Latin Vulgate had become, and how important it was to go back and use the original Greek New Testament and original Hebrew Old Testament languages to maintain accuracy… and to translate them faithfully into the languages of the common people, whether that be English, German, or any other tongue. No sympathy for this “illegal activity” was to be found from Rome… even as the words of Pope Leo X's declaration that "the fable of Christ was quite profitable to him" continued through the years to infuriate the people of God.

If the first so-called Bible was first written in Cantonese I would learn Cantonese & not put my full trust & confidence in someone else translation. How do I know the scholars of power didn't translate something to their liking or kept certain translations secret, secrets that need to be protected, secrets that's passed down through generations that's protected like nothing you have ever experienced. You know a lot of folks felt & still do feel the population as a whole are not ready for certain trues, so they kept certain secrets & only translated secrets to families & government who had wealth & power. I'm someone that can understand why somethings need to be kept secret from the population as a whole.
This is not one of those things it's the Bible pure & simple.

The Bible possibly written centuries earlier scientists have discovered the earliest known Hebrew writing an inscription dating from the 10th century B.C., during the period of King David's reign.

The breakthrough could mean that portions of the Bible were written centuries earlier than previously thought. The Bible's Old Testament is thought to have been first written down in an ancient form of Hebrew.

Until now, many scholars have held that the Hebrew Bible originated in the 6th century B.C., because Hebrew writing was thought to stretch back no further. But the newly deciphered Hebrew text is about four centuries older, scientists announced this month.

"It indicates that the Kingdom of Israel already existed in the 10th century BCE and that at least some of the biblical texts were written hundreds of years before the dates presented in current research," said professor Gershon Galil, Haifa in Israel, who deciphered the ancient text.

You can not speak for everybody on BPN some folks on this board men & women are true scholars, researchers in theology, I'm not one of those people, religion is not my area of research, but if one of those folks wanted to they could translate. But knowing a true theologian scholar they wouldn't. Believe it or not, there are many folks on BPN that have studied the Bible in many other languages. You, obviously are not one of those people, there's nothing wrong with that. But I wonder with all the other treads on BPN that are in English you keep coming back to this one.

Yours truly,
Anthony Smith
