"Invitees were asked to sign the 2008 Faith in Human Rights Statement, which, in essence, pronounces and confirms that true religion, irrespective of religion, gender, race or other distinctions, defends the human rights and fundamental freedoms of every human."

This includes gay marriage- whether it is spelled out on black or white or not.
The Statement says that RELIGION defends the RIGHTS OF EVERY HUMAN- meaning this includes the right for homosexuals to marry.

It's not irrelevant.
However, it would be irrelevant to someone such as yourself.
Whether he wrote it or not he has SIGNED it and put his agreement to it.
That's the issue with the church now.
We want to deal with what WE want and not the WHOLE WORD.
I got 66 books and I read all 66 books- not just the parts I can sit on my "throne" and condemn others with whilst I excuse myself from reproach.
Save the overly spiritual cliches and semantics for someone who is not learned in the "COGIC" lingo.

Not much.....most of our churches are so centered around paying reports and pleasing our Bishops and pastors we have lost sight of real ministry anymore....jmho

I felt that some of the inconsistent and hypocritical leaders in COGIC needed to see how their leader is handling issues on the world stage and trying to ADVANCE this church.
I have NO issue with COGIC and there is no other church I would place my heart in.
So before you come at me with some "holier-than-thou" speech about what you do and have done in this church and what I need to do YOU need get an understanding.

I give honor to my leader as well but the information is there and believe I know this man personally and yes I will admit he may get under my skin at times as well but he has NEVER been wrong. I've even verified some of his information.
This man is ONLY doing what the church is supposed to do and that is expose the lies, deceptions and trickery in the church. I may not agree with his methods of how he does this (which I will go on the record and say I don't) but he has NEVER been wrong.
The sad thing is the church chooses to be blind to the truths that he speaks- however way you may feel about him.
Are you telling me that the portion that was quoted there is not in the Statement?
