African Americans are nearly three times more likely to get “high-cost” loans than their white and Asian counterparts. Latinos were two times more likely to get high-cost loans than whites and Asians. High-cost loans are home loans that carry interest rates at least three percentage points above the U.S. Treasury standard. Higher interest rates mean higher mortgage payments.
Twenty years ago, blacks were No.1 in U.S. minority business ownership. Not anymore. Now, Hispanics are first, Asians, Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, South Asians, Pacific Islanders & Indians or second and blacks or third. What's more Asians business are bigger, with on average, annual revenue of $336,200 vs. $155,200 for Hispanic companies and $86,500 for black-owned companies. That has helped make Asians households wealthier with a annual median income of $55,521-higher than all others, including whites.
If you ever walked around a University or college community searching for a place to dine, you will find many Chinese, Korean, Japanese & now, Indian restaurants to dine from, all on the same block or close to one another. I saw an Asian restaurant I than walked around the corner and there was another Asians restaurant. I was searching for something close to a soul food restaurant in the area. I thought because of the many black students I passed by surely there was one in the area.
Than I thought about it, there's no such thing as black food just black culture, unless your in a community that's black or at a [HBCU] Historic Black College & Universities you want find any soul food restaurants to dine at. I think none- African Americans are turned off of soul food because this generation is on a health kick.
Do all minorities suffer the same history of institutional discrimination that have prevented minorities from attending certain schools and therefore receiving a fair education?
By the way, they have a new name for African Americans attending college & Universities their called low income students. The name is pretty old among white, Asian & Indian students.
Read the short MIT Minority Community at the bottom. There is no mention of Asian American students. I had the chance to visit MIT several times and I know for a fact MIT have some Asian students attending. MIT is just like UCLA & most universities & colleges in America & the UK minority of majority of students there are Asians, Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, South Asians, Pacific Islanders & Indians.

We are committed to educating the best and the brightest students that the world has to offer, period. And no surprise - many of these students happen to be students of color. There are many African American, Latino and Native American students enrolled at MIT, hailing from all over the US and US Territories, (such as Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands). Additionally, we have many international students, from nearly every continent - all of whom contribute to the racial, cultural and ethnic diversity of our community.

If you take a look at the African American admissions numbers at UCLA you will see a huge drop occurring at the undergraduate level & graduate level in all departments, where representation of African Americans has now fallen below 5% in many of the major graduate programs.
UCLA is not the problem in America, unfortunately, like many colleges & universities seek and accept students with 4.0 GPAs and SAT scores near 1400. Today, many 3.5-4.0 GPA African American students are turned away from many colleges & universities. Some of these students have strong academic credentials but are not Sanskrit. Sanskrit is a word meaning ‘Aryan’. Aryan means people from northern India, Asia, European, Indo-European, Indo-Iranian,. Nordic and Germanic peoples.
I looked this up and found out that 45% of all Asian American adults have at least a college degree, the highest of all the major racial/ethnic groups. It's also common for Asian American students to have the highest test scores and/or GPAs within any given high school, college or University.
Not only that most Chinese, Korean, Japanese & Indian Americans who attend college have the the cultural stereotype that "all Asians are smart." A stereotype African Americans can not seem to make stick to our race not even with an African American President in office.

Anthony Smith
