Jesus!!!

Luke 8:1-3

1 After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him

2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out;

3 Joanna the wife of Cuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.

I can't help but notice many heated debates on the issue of women in the ministry. Yeah they are some heated discussions but I am pretty sure they have nothing on the ones that were held when Jesus broke away from tradition.

See women were not allowed to be taught by rabbis their husbands or their fathers were suppose to teach them. Women were suppose to be in the background. But here comes Jesus changing and silently challenging a biased tradition. Mary and Joanna supported Christ financially and in any other manner that they were needed. Although there was no mention of them teaching the point is that change started with Jesus. And the furthermore a women's place is where ever they are needed by Jesus.

If they are called to preach who are we to say likewise?
