Sanctification is that inward spiritual work in which the Lord Jesus Christ works in a man by the Holy Ghost, when He calls him to be a true believer, separates him from his natural love of sin and the world, puts a new principle in his heart, and makes him practically godly in life. The instrument by which. His Spirit effects this work is generally the Word of God, though He sometimes uses afflictions and providential visitations' 'without the Word.' The subject of this work of Christ by His Spirit, is called in Scripture a 'sanctified' man.

Sanctification, again, is the only certain evidence of that indwelling of the Holy Spirit which is essential to salvation. 'If any man have not the Spirit of Christ he is none of His.' (Rom. 8: 9.) The Spirit never lies silent or idle in a man's soul: He always makes His presence known by the fruit of the Spirit at work in the life of the believer.
To be Sanctified is to be set apart. What sets you apart? The keeping of God's commandments.
Mark,

To be sanctified is to be set apart as set apart ones unto Yahuah. The Torah makes Yahuah's people set apart, for we are His treasured possession.
We are if we keep the comandments.
Have BOTH of you brothers kept every one of God's commandments? I already no the answer...so let's cut to the chase, 1. We are saved by GRACE, NOT works, our faith in Jesus is what makes us righteous and right with God, why because NONE of us have the will or the power to obey the LAW, 2. Without the Holy Spirits HELP we cannot live a SANCTIFIED LIFE...you can talk about obeying the TORAH, but if the TORAH (The Word who is JESUS) isn't in your heart you are LOST! No Jesus NO salvation! No Jesus NO sanctification!
You are relying on Paul, right? Did you know that when Paul was writting, he wrote of 2 laws. The animal sacrifice and the Moral Law. The Moral law is the covenant. The animal sacrifice is the deeds of the Law that Paul was talking about, so when you say that you are not justified by the deeds of the law, you are saying that you are not justified by the sacrficing of animals, and that is true, but when you say that the deeds of the law is keeping the law, you are dead wrong, and risk your lives.
So you are inferring that Paul is not teaching the truth? You treading on dangerous ground.
I am not saying that Paul was not preaching the truth. I am saying that Paul was trying to get the Jews and Gentiles see the difference between animal sacrifices, and keeping the law in your mind, by the Lord Jesus.

Remember that the Jews did not believe Jesus was the Messiah, so they kept on sacrificing animals. The Gentiles thought that they were to sacrifice animals to worpship the God of Israel, and Paul was teaching them that since Jesus Died a rose, there was no need to sacrfice animals. Sacrifice was the deeds of the law.
