Love the sinner, but hate the sin - Ghandi

Yet, most christians add Ghandi's phrase, who was Hindu, to the holy scriptures.

Does God agree with Ghandi's phrase?

Of course God hates! He hates those that uses His name in vain and I don't mean cussing but professing to say God said when God didn't say or God told me to tell you when God didn't tell them to anything. He hates the deeds and doctrine of Balaam and the Nicolaitanes. Does God hate the wicked is a good question because personally I think God hated the deeds of the wicked but wants the wicked to repent and therefore save their lives by not sinning anymore. Didn't Jesus come to save the sinners?
Yes sir, he sure did. Psalm 5:5 says God hates all who do iniquity, but just because he hates them that practice sin, that does not mean he will shut out their chances of repenting. Remember, you and I were once among those who practiced sin. How do you think God felt about you and I lol?
Brother I was the sinner of sinners growing up in the streets of Kansas City and South Central Los Angeles. You just don't know how thankful I am! I did more wrong than I care to remember but I do so as not to go back. I'm too old for those things but I was lost but know I'm found. LOL
hallelujah!
God Hates sin BUT LOVES THE SINNER. This doesn't give them a license to sin but a chance to repent and obey the gospel.
Della,

Ghandi created that statement. The scriptures never says such statement.
Ezekiel 18:27 (King James Version)

27Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

Proverbs 6:12-21 (King James Version)

12A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.

13He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;

14Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.

15Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

16These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

20My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

21Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

Let's face the facts in the old testament God HATED THE SINS Look what he did to Sodom and Gomorrah, The Flood and so on. Many Christians today think : Well Today God is a God of mercy HE LOVES US UNCONDITIONALLY! Therefore justifying themselves and their sins . I am sorry but The God Today Just because he has granted to us mercy and grace( A Space to repent and obey the Gospel.) It doesn't give us a license to sin and walk as children of disobedience. God Hates sin. He also is a God of Judgment. We Must Abide in His Word!
2 Thessalonians 1:8 (King James Version)

8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

So Many Christians today are deceived.
Della,

Sorry, but Yehwah hates sinners. Psalm 5:5,"Neither shall the transgressors continue in your sight: you hate, O Lord, all them that work iniquity." Yehwah does not change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He hates sinners, but He loves those who love Him and are obedient to Him.
Well I agree with you but if your trying to tell a sinner God HATES You do you really think they are going to come to him? LOL. No. But What If that Same God Had Robed HIMSELF IN FLESH
Came up with a better plan of Salvation for mankind to be Saved? What the Law could do was roll over peoples sins for a year. The Law could not save, So lets Read Hebrews chapter 9
Hebrews 9 (King James Version)

Hebrews 9

1Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

2For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

6Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

16For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

18Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

19For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

20Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

21Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

22And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

23It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

25Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

26For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Romans 9:13
As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

God does hate...
Why we spend so much time debating God's Word is beyond me!

Proverbs 6:16 - 19 states: These six things doth the Lord hate; yea, seven are an abomination unto Him (his soul)
(1) A proud look, (2) a lying tongue, (3) and hands that shed innocent blood, (4) An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, (5) feet that be swift in running to mischief, (6) A false witness that speaketh lies, (7) and he that soweth discord among brethren.

So God tells you what He hates. Stop debating and just listen to His Word. YES HE HATES AND WE SHOULD HATE WHAT HE HATES AND LOVE WHAT HE LOVES!
Sister EW this is not directed at you personally please believe this. It's just on BPN all we do is debate God's Word with one another and try to impress everyone else how intelligent we are in God's Word and it's all for nothing and means nothing. Let God's Word speak and leave it alone. There are a bunch of intelligent Christians on this site but my reply is SO WHAT!
It gets to a point that I truly dont' want to come here because most of the time it's pride that shows instead of fellowshipping and edifying one another in His Word.
Della,

lol the scriptures says Yehwah hates. Its not about telling the sinner Yehwah hates them, but rather simply showing them how they break Yehwah's Torah, and how they need Yashah.
