Parents need to know that Paranormal Activity 4 is the fourth movie in the successful horror series and looks to follow its predecessors in storyline and scare tactics. The tale about a haunted house and its victimized inhabitants looks somewhat predictable, but Paranormal Activity 4 will no doubt still deliver some jump-out-of-your-seat scares. With many scenes shot in the grainy night vision that has been the definitive look of the earlier films, this won't be a movie for young kids or anyone who's easily frightened by on-screen horror.

The story takes place in 2011, five years after Katie killed her boyfriend Micah, sister Kristi, her husband Daniel and took their baby, Hunter (now named Robbie). Story focuses on Alice and her mom, experiencing weird stuff since the new neighbors (Katie and Robbie) moved in the town.
Fans of the Paranormal Activity franchise are looking for some answers from Paranormal Activity 4, considering that the ending of Paranormal Activity 3 - a film which promised to fill us in on backstory – only left us more confused than ever. We still don’t know what happened in the period between Katie and Kristi’s demonic possession in childhood and their seemingly normal adult lives viewed at the starts of PA 1&2 - and we’re no closer to finding out what, exactly, demon-Katie plans to do with her kidnapped nephew, Hunter, last seen during the final moments of PA2.
