Hi dear brothers and sisters in Christ!

“You send me Romans 13:1-2

Romans 13

1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

What the Bible is talking about here isn't about any President.

I read my Bible out from that God is a spirit and talk to our spirits so for me doesn't God speak about men in their flesh but men in the spirit.

Obama isn't ordained of God. »

My reply to the post above:

Dear sister Eva, EVERYTHING COMES FROM GOD! AMEN!

« He is before all things, and in him all things hold together”.

Colossians 1:17

ROMANS 13: 1-2 CLARIFICATION

"Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves".

Romans 13:1-2

This verse above refers not only to the Religious, spiritual authorities but also to the civil ones: “… there is no authority except that which God has established…”; “…there is no power but of God”.

It is necessary for us to be subjected, not only for fear of being punished, but also by reason of conscience. This principle is wanted by God for the Law, justice, the wellbeing and the protection of each one.

The Christian obliges himself with the tender, with honesty, not for fear of the men, but by reason of conscience!

But it should be added that the civil authorities do not have the right to do anything wrong with this authority whose principle comes from God. When there is encroachment of the authorities on obedience due to God, resistance is essential until martyrdom…

“But Peter and John replied, "Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard."

Acts 4:19-20

Let us note that Jesus Himself respected the civil authorities…

We must remember that the authority which a man exerts is only delegated to Him by God. This one does not have the right to monopolize, to misuse the power received from God. A manager is not an owner. A servant is not a Lord. To use and manage does not mean to misuse or exploit for a selfish profit. To understand that enables us to be ready to exert the practice of the authority for many others… and the glory of God.

The authority of a Pastor, a Judge, a Policeman, a Minister or a President of the Republic comes from God. God established those authorities for a good order of the world. Those authorities are impersonal, neutral. The people who incarnate these authorities can be malicious or good but these authorities come from God and each one will have to give an account of his management later.

Ahab was a wicked man, but he was a King. People obeyed him as a King, not as a Man.
Remember: Saul was not a King according to God's will, but David didn't hate him though!

So, whoever is the President Obama, we must bless him and pray for him.
Indeed, a Christian must pay the taxes, make the good rather than the evil, and recognize that any authority comes from God.

This last recommendation could be seen as a self-justification of a despotic policy. But, understood correctly, it is used rather as a brake to abuses.

Indeed, the king or the President must realize that he is not the last authority and thus he cannot govern, control arbitrarily.

It was precisely the sense of the words which Jesus had addressed to Pontius Pilate when the Roman governor tried to impress Him by his capacity, his authority:

Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."

John 19:11

“You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above…” Amen!

Thus, the Bible is not dualistic. God is not only the Lord of a small number of elected people, but also the Creator and the Master of all, even if His authority is often expressed through an apparent weakness and is still far from being recognized by all.

EVERYTHING COMES FROM GOD! AMEN!

Worrying about the whole society, the Christians have the right, even the duty, to raise their voice when the requirements of justice are violated. They should not get involved in politics though.

They will not seek, however, to impose their views by methods which are opposite to the Gospel. And they must aim to carry a good testimony, knowing that they have to cross the same way which was that of Christ Himself:
« If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name”.

1 Peter 4:15-16

Please, let all that we do be done from motives of love (1Corinthians 16:14).

Concerning the election of the President Obama, I'd like to tell you this:

"Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn."

Romans 12:15

Sister Eva said again:

“To say that God had choosed obama so it has to be right man on the President post.

Well then we can also agree that Hitler was ordained of God, Stalin was ordained of God, pol pot was ordained of God and many more dictators ?

God isn't talking about Presidents.

When God is talking about Kings and Pharaoes is He talking about people that am born into the family of kings and pharaoes.

God is talking about noble family and genealogy .... about time frames

A President is elected of people only.

You can tell me that a king is also elected in some way but he is still born out of many generations of nobel people.

I don't need to bow my head for Obama he is not ordained of God.

Those who are ordained of God is not any living here on earth...no one in his/her body.

He is talking about spirits sent from heaven to us to help us, that we should listen at and obey.

They talking out from their bodies because they are not more than in their bodies but I am talking out from my spirit because I am a spirit.”

I thank you dear sister Eva!

I don’t know Barack Obama personally. I’ve never met Him.
Some say that he encourages abortion. But, I’ve never heard him speaking about abortion.
Indeed, as for me, I always speak highly against abortion and sexual immorality.

But, We should pray for Gays, Lesbians and those who allow same sexes marriages. We should tell them (with love) that their attitude is a perversion, a deviancy even an abomination according to the Holy Bible:

Romans 1: 24-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9

We should not hate or scorn them but lead them on the right way saying to them that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners - of whom we were the worst. Those who belong to God will be converted...

“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners - of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. »

Timothy 1:15-17

Please, let all that we do be done from motives of love (1Corinthians 16:14).

In fact, Barack Obama may be like Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot or many other dictators, I don’t know!

But, I’d like to tell you this:

Your judgement is premature and preconceived. Please, avoid the prejudices for the Bible says:

“Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.”

Matthew 7:20

My role is not to defend a man.

Barack Obama is a man, he can stumble. This is the reason why “…The bible says to pray for our leaders. God has used Moses, a murderer to lead a nation. God used David, who adulterated with a married woman and had her husband killed. Yet, these people were to become great men used of God for His purpose. Even though no candidate has the answer for everything, God orchestrates everything for His will to be done. Trust and pray to God, who is in control…” (Theresa Easiley).

Please, judge nothing before the appointed time!

“Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.”

1 Corinthians 4:5

Moreover, “…as Christians we know that God will cause all things to work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His will.

We can’t control every event in life, but we can entrust ourselves to the most powerful and loving being in the universe, knowing that the future will only be better for all eternity and that good things can still come in this life.” (Alphonso Rodgers)

Dear brothers and sisters!

My English is not excellent enough but I hope that you’ll be able to understand whatever I’ll tell you even if the words don’t sometimes fit together.

I’m a Gospel preacher. My messages reach many people all around the world…

Truly speaking, I love all of you, black or white. My duty is to spread the good news.

Let me tell you that the Good news never seems good to people when they see only the dark side of the news.

The dark side of the news is that there is going to be a punishment for the sinners, a final and terrible punishment.

But, the Good news is that you can be saved, if you follow the Lord’s commands. Amen!!!

As a Preacher, I must present the Gospel in a spirit of meekness and kindness.

I really have no desire to argue, to dispute with the holy Word of God. I’d like to preach the truth, the Gospel, nothing but the truth…

However, I know that the truth, no matter the manner, method or way it is presented, will always upset and always be fought by the enemies of Christ.

Indeed, Brother Paul told Titus:

“This testimony is true. Therefore, rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the commands of those who reject the truth.”

Titus 1:13-14

Tell me, do you agree with those who said that the letters of Paul were “weighty and forceful”? (2 Corinthians 10:3-11)

Moreover, our Lord Jesus said:

"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law - a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.”

Matthew 10:34-36

Some people thought that Jesus, the Prophets and the Apostles used aggressive and incendiary method.
I don’t think so. They said the truth. The true love banishes the compromise about the Word of God. The true communion is possible only around the truth.

Unfortunately, the truth, no matter the manner, method or way it is presented, will always upset and always be fought by some people. This is the reason why Jesus was crucified and most of His Prophets and Apostles were killed. Amen!

Why were they killed? Was it because the presentation of their teachings was as unnecessarily harsh, aggressive and incendiary? No! It was because they told the truth, but people disliked the truth: “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine”.

I didn’t insult anybody in my posts, but I told you the truth relating to the American election according to the Holy Scriptures!

Yes, we are witnessing the fulfilment of a biblical passage:

21 "Under three things the earth trembles,
under four it cannot bear up:
22 a servant who becomes king,
a fool who is full of food,
23 an unloved woman who is married,
and a maidservant who displaces her mistress.”

Proverbs 30:21-23

Please, tell me:

Didn’t the entire Earth tremble under the election of Barack Obama (a Servant who became a King or a President)?

Let me tell you this:

As the Apostle Paul said, I also want to tell you that the appeal I make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor am I trying to trick you. On the contrary, I speak as man approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. I’m not trying to please men but God, who tests my heart. (1 Thessalonians 2:3-4)

“So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God” (1 Corinthians 4:1).

Blessings,

Bro. Germain
