Declaring things sin that are not sin. Every time we do this and fail miserably at backing it up with scripture, we look like idiots and ones loose any trust in what we say.

God states that HIS yoke is easy, we can live a holy, sanctified life, without creating a bunch of extra "sins."

Declaring things to be sin that the Bible does not in either command or principle is wrong on many counts. It passes from Disciple of Christ straight to man made religion.

If we can't back it up in scripture, we need to be quiet on it.

I agree Sister. For instance - my back ground is holiness and to wear the color RED is a big wordly sin.
What scripture is that?
The bible even says Jesus wore SCARLETT (RED) and you cant get much holier than Him.

.
Amen, my background is Holinest as well, and I remember the mothers stating that, as well as straightening their hair, they were told it made them look worldly.
Evan,

HALLELUYAH!
Evan,

ONE OF THESE DAYS... OH ONE OF THESE DAYS! IM GONNA STOMP MY FEET AND DANCE, AND RAISE MY HANDS UP HIGH... HE LIFT ME UP IN THE SKY! OHHHHH!
and what is more precious than ever we will see HIS FACE
What are some things you had in mind with starting this post.
Well there are some things that are not sins, that ones call sin, but of course they can be stumbling blocks and cause others to sin gambling for instance, now I don't partake because I can see it becoming a problem for ME.

but gambling in itself is not a sin, there is no scripture to the fact that it is, I would not encourage anyone, for I don't know other's weaknesses, but if I for some reason saw a saint buy a scratch off it would not make me wonder about their walk. The scratch offs and others.... are a poor man's gamble if they are considered sins, what about investments into stocks and bonds? what's the difference?
Yes, my grandmother would not allow a deck of cards in her house, it was after she died that I learned the reason she didn't was because in her day she learned from her six brothers how to played a mean hand of poker.
