TIPS FOR GROWING YOUR ONLINE MINISTRY
When the Lord first spoke to me around mid-last year to create Global Dominion International Alliances, He also showed me at that time how it was going to be a fast growing ministry. Very much of the growth I had nothing to do with it. Members that joined kept inviting others to join since it's inception, and have continued to up to this date.
I did not want to put out a net so to speak for any one and every one to come and be a part of this ministry, because I knew this was a ministry and not a social network. I also knew that God was going to attract certain people to this ministry, and I didn't want a mix of people that weren't spiritual or ministry minded, to say the least. So the only time that I would invite people to this ministry was when they added me as a freind on another ministry, and in my reply back I gave them an invitation.
Only about 1% of the members of G.D.I.A. are invitees by me. The rest were invited by others. They were invited by other members who volunteered to do so without me asking them to do so. So I concluded with the following and think they could be helpful tips for you to grow your online ministry.
1. See your ministry as God's ministry, that He has given or assigned you to to minister to His people.
2. Count your self privileged to have been chosen by Him to do this.
3. Seek and pray to have His heart about His people, and deal with them from His heart, His love, His perspective, etc.
4. Realize that God's people are of worth and of value to Him, and you must communicate to them and relate to them as He would. God is not critical, judgmental, condeming, spiteful, debating, unforgiving, unkind and the like, regardless of what His people have done or what's going on in thier lives.
5. Realize that God has given you the "minstry of reconcilation" to restore, to bring His back into right fellowship with HIm, to bring life, restoration and healing to his people that may be sinners, backsliders, broken or in bondage.
6. SET GOALS FOR YOUR ONLINE IMINISTRY (OR OFFLINE MINISTRY) TO:
Edify
Build Up
Strengthen
Heal
Love
Understand
Be Forgiving
Be Considerate
Be Compassionate
Encourage
7. Rebuke and correct in love and humilty
8. Present the truth of God's word,
as revealed to you by the Holy Spirit.
9. Teach from the word of God rightly dividing it
with help from the Holy Spirit.
10. Don't debate the word of God, but teach
and preach to inform, reveal or enlighten,
rather than try to prove some one wrong,
ignorant, or correct them with a wrong spirit.
11. Don't engage your self in foolish debates or
strife that has no end, and edifies not.
12. Don't allow people to remain on your site
who do not respect your standards of
integrity, or may have other ulterior motive sfor joining.
13. AND ADDRESS IMMEDIATELY, members that have an
obvious agenda for joining your ministry for other
reasons than to glean and share.
14. If for a day or two, or three or more the Lord doesn't
really prompt me to write, I won't. I just won't try to
post anything just because I feel I'm supposed to.
So if God is not speaking or directing me to post or
say something, I won't. And I will just manage the
site and read the blogs by others.
This is very important in being led by the Spirit of God.
You only want to say and convey what you feel
the Spirit or Holy Spirit is leading or prompting you
to speak or write. you want to give the people only
words from the Father's heart. And yes this may include
posting material or information given you by others.
THE KEY THING IS TO BE LED
BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD AT ALL TIMES.
15. Prayerfully always ask God as to what you
should post or how you should respond and
comment. It's God's people that we must
always have in mind, and our call to serve
them in any way that we can that would
help them become better and greater as
people, and as people of God.
16. Pray and intercede for your members
and their needs on a daily and continual basis.
When God sets people on your path, make the
best of it by praying and undergirding for them to reach
their greatest potential and destiny in God.
17. Continually seek God and stay in His face regarding
His people, that He may give you a word for them,
that may be accurate, timely and in season.
And if you are faithful to do your part,
God wil give the increase and send the people to you,
without efforts of your own.
I hope these tips will help you in some kind of way.
PRAYER:
Father-God these are Your people. You know what their needs are and what their cries are. You have sent them to me. Help me to love guide, bless, heal, encourage, edify and strengthen them as You would have me to. Let them find healing, love and deliverance through this ministry. Help them to realize Your love and Your greatness as they feed from this ministry. Give them Your understanding, Your wisdom, Your knowledge and Your revelation, as Your Holy Spirit opens up their eyes, their spirit and understanding. Help them to discern between the spirit of truth and the spirit of err. Help them to rightly divide Your word of truth. Send members that would have Your heart to do the same. Speak to me Father-God a word that would minister to them and bless them. Let what I write and what I speak be only what You would have me to and not what I think may be best. Don't let me say or do anything that You did not say or do not want me to say or do. In Jesus name, amen
