We Win Because of Jesus!

I Samuel 17 tells us about David, a young shepherd boy who single handedly defeated the giant Goliath.  Through his courage and faith in God, the entire Israeli camp became victorious.  No doubt they lifted David over their shoulders and went through the city rejoicing that he was their Champion and Israel was victorious and had won the battle.  In the same manner, Jesus Christ, the son of a carpenter and young virgin girl, came to earth through the Word of God and became our salvation through his death, burial and resurrection.  Jesus overcame death, hell and the grave, and he defeated the devil in that we now have Eternal Life back, which was lost in the Garden of Eden.  We now have an opportunity to have our relationship with God back when we believe on Jesus and receive him as our Lord and Savior.  What a glorious truth - in knowing that Jesus won the battle for us and now we are victorious.  I want to encourage every pastor, evangelist, prophet, teacher and apostle to lift up Jesus - tell everyone that they don't need to walk in defeat.  Jesus won the battle and the end of the book tells us the outcome.  Halleluyah!!
