Why don’t we really practice the Golden Rule in 2010?

God willing, the Brother Marcus Internet Radio and Television Show will return this Sunday with another brand spanking new edition this Sunday on March 14, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. (EST). We have all heard of the Golden Rule in which Jesus simply states for us to, “Do unto others as we would like others to do unto us.” Many of the other religious faiths, traditions and Prophets of God have shared something similar to that exhortation. The struggle for most of us is in recognizing who the others are that Jesus is telling us that we need to do unto and properly act by to make these words truly live in this dying and decadent society?

 

This weekend we intend to thoroughly explore are we practicing the Golden Rule with everybody or just with the members of our small family, church, mosque or synagogues? Who do you give your best to and who do you owe you best to? Do Christian people truly consider Muslim people to be their brothers and sisters in faith and vice versa? How do we really treat each other? Do Jews only practice love and brotherhood amongst other Jews and not really care at all for the unlearned masses of the people who are non Jewish? Why do so many of us have so much hatred and disdain for people who do not think and believe as we may in 2010? In this horrific age of the divine destruction of America and the world how do we grow beyond the petty, juvenile and Satanic divisions that we hold so dear to?
