WOMEN WEARING PANTS IN CHURCH....

[HOPE - Psalm 43:5]

Over the years, I have heard many men and women in the holiness denominations say that women shouldn't wear pants in the church.

Were is the scripture to support the ideology that women shouldn't wear pants? If it is in scripture then I would have to ask why are men wearing pants? Did men wear pants in biblical times or did their wear something that covered their loins and then long robe like attire? I mean isn't that what you depict in your biblical plays? So why aren't the men being asked to wear similar apparel in the church to maintain a outward appearance of holiness? Why aren't they asked to not cut their hair (both facial and head)

What are the clothing designations for men in the holiness denominations.

After all, without holiness NO man/woman shall see God.....

The question is whether the women and men are dressed modestly or shamefully sexy? Does it make a men and women feel convicted for looking at them and saying OMG...Lord,Lord,Lord! A person who has the Holy Spirit living on the inside won't need a Bible reference to tell them how to dress...for church or I should say worship. The word of God is  a living word which is powerful enough to dicern the thoughts and intents of the heart. How a person dresses is evidence of where they are spiritually...babies run around naked and think it's funny but when they become mature they dress for the occasion.

I Would like to ask a question, This is about relationships, two men or two women, in the church, And the age different bwt a man and a women,  Do you think a man should be with a women that's 15 years young than he is, she 24 and he is 39 years old.  Just whats the problem with some of these men, And women?

Issue of who to marry or what age depend solely on the partners and God. I don't think anyone has say on that because Prov. 18:22 said it all. So age or race does not matter at all.

I am soooo glad that I got a rise up from mostly my brothers in the body of Christ.  The question asked (especially, 'Where is the scripture to support the ideology that women shouldn't wear pants?') is what I answered.  Personally, I don't care what anyone wears.  You can be naked and not ashamed like Isaiah 20:3.  I long for and intercede for those who are not saved, those who are saved and still not getting it, and those who are thirsty for God's Word. This question was posted 2 years ago and there weren't any scriptures that may have moved the minds of our Elders to come to these conclusions.

 

From a woman's mind, I could take this to the natural level and give experiences, not examples, of how men in the church can be.  However, I will not bring that demon back into my life.  God bless you...

Greeting to my beloved sister and brothers in Christ Jesus who believe that Jesus is LORD. Then where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. The question is do you believe that or do you believe what man is saying? For me and my house we are going to serve THE LORD!!! We (the church) spend so much time chasing rabbits instead of JESUS. We weary about the outward instead of the hidden person. I know them of the faith that wear dresses in the churches and are mean as the devil. our focus is on the wrong thing, we should be after souls, for the Bible declares us to be WISE "IF" we win souls to Christ. The question is are we wise or foolish, where do we fit in? You know and so do God! lets stop the maddness and get back to winning souls, then teaching them as leaders HOW TO LEAD as we follow JESUS!!!

No where in scripture does it forbid women from wearing slacks in church.   Modest dress is required and properly fitted dress slacks are designed as womens clothing and are not designed as apparel for men.

It is often much more modest to see a lady in a nicely fitted slacks set; (pants and top) than some of the overly tight and to short dresses worn today.

Traditions of man will make the WORD of GOD to no afffect....

 

Now it is those things that would distract us from hearing the WORD preached and taught...whatever that might be..as in overly flashly jewerly, talking during services to one another, low cut dresses, etc, are all to be avoided. 

 

To be "in order" and "decent"...modest and dressed with a GOOD conversation with meekness and love...that will be approperate in any situtation...I should think.
