We often hear the saying, "your attitude determines your altitude." Well last Sunday I heard a preacher make reference to the "attitude indicator" in a plane. He said that that attitude indicator is one of the most important gauges in the flying of an aircraft because it is used to judge the leveling of the plan regardless of any external changes.

After hearing this message, which was awesome, I did some more research. I found out that the pilot must resist the tendency to over control the airplane. Fly the attitude indicator with fingertip control. No attitude changes should be made unless the flight instruments indicate a definite need for a change.

He must make all attitude changes smooth and small, yet with positive pressure. And he must remember that a small change as indicated on the horizon bar corresponds to a proportionately much larger change in actual airplane attitude.

Isn't that just like our lives. We have to RESIST the tendency to over control our situations. STAY LEVEL. In whatsoever state we find ourselves in, learn to be content. Don't allow our exterior circumstances to affect our attitude. Many of our attitudes change with the wind; change with the flow of every circumstance. We often fail to realize that the smallest change in attitude has the greatest affect.

My mentor used to say that "your blessings depend on you reaction," which is a result of the attitude that you are in. He also used to say, "don't let another man's level be your limit and don't let another man's limit be your level."

Now I'm saying "don't allow your attitude to be altered by someone or something who's attitude has already been altered."
