A Gospel Tract Workshop

By Warrior Richardson, Instructor

Develop drawing skills and learn to use them to present the good news about Jesus Christ in a fun and exciting way.

This workshop consists of eight 4-hour sessions for a total of 32 hours. The first two hours of each session consists of learning to communicate the basics of the Christian faith clearly. The last two hours consist of learning basic drawing skills.

I pray that your physical structure & functions are and will be sound; that all circadian rhythms and all cycles are completed. 
That every regulatory system, error control process, repair gene, all error correcting machinery, tumor suppressors, electrical impulse and every chemical to receptor attachment will function according to God’s original design to this end, that you might “Be In Health”. ©

Severe dehydration is a serious medical problem that should be addressed quickly.  If you or a loved one is suffering from dehydration go to the emergency room immediately.  IV fluids will be required to quickly rehydrate the body. To avoid dehydration, do not wait until you are thirsty, practice drinking 50% of your body weight in water ounces daily (example, 100lb = 50oz water).

Know the Signs of Dehydration

A good sign that you are becoming dehydrated is chapped lips.

 Excessive thirst, dry mouth, no appetite, lethargy, dark urine, little or no urine output or you may also experience vomiting and diarrhea. In addition, the skin will be very dry and does not quickly return to normal when pinched, this is a serious matter, you are dehydrated.

 How to treat dehydration

If you are slightly dehydrated, increasing your fluid intake should bring your body back to normal. Drink a glass of water every half hour with a slice of lime or lemon until your urine is clear.  Also take 1000 mg of vitamin C powder 3 times daily (organic vegetarian formula, I prefer Alive) to speed the hydration process and protect cells from damage.   If however, you are severely dehydrated, report to your nearest Emergency Room immediately. You will receive Intravenous fluid hydration and will be encouraged to drink large amounts of fluid.

 What happens to your kidneys with dehydration?

 If your body becomes severely dehydrated, this can lead to a pre-renal state. A pre-renal state occurs when the kidneys do not receive   enough fluids to function properly and they become impaired.

A pre-renal state is one step away from renal failure where the kidneys are barely working. In this case temporary dialysis will be necessary. Depending on other health factors, your doctor will determine if dialysis will become a part of your life or if after dialysis you can continue life with the kidneys back to working order.

The American Diabetes Association says that two out of three people with diabetes die from heart disease and stroke.  Why?  Because as many as 70% of those with diabetes have high blood pressure, too. Your kidneys, most people have 2, each ...contain approximately one million nephrons or filters.  These tiny filters pull wastes and extra water out of the blood and send them to your bladder as urine.  High blood sugar damages blood vessels, which leads to the destruction of nephrons.  This action causes protein to leak out and waste products are no longer effectively filtered from the blood.   Before you know it, so many nephrons have been destroyed that the kidneys fail and dialysis or a kidney transplant are required to sustain life. Diabetes is the number one cause of kidney failure, while high blood pressure is the second.  Disorders that affect the ability of the kidneys to function can also cause congestive heart failure.  Having both diabetes and high blood pressure makes chronic kidney disease (CKD) progress much faster than having either condition on its own.  Want to know more?  There are only 2 sessions left in the Sakal CDC Diabetes series.  Meet us for Wellness Wednesday at 10637 S.
