- James Sawyers holds a B. S.. in Music Education - Fisk University, M.ED. from Trevecca Nazarene University, and MDIV from Vanderbilt University Divinity School.
I am a retired Music teacher and Exec. Principal of the Metro Nashville Public Schools. I am currently Adjunct Prof. at Fisk University in Teacher Certification. I went to Divinity School after thrity years of public school administration. I am an Associate Minister at Temple Church in Nashville, TN. I am married to Gloria Sawyers approaching 32 years with two adult daughters (Jamie and Suzanne).
