- Dr. M. Edward Reid is one of God's most anointed and powerful preachers. Not only is he an anointed preacher but he is also a gifted singer and musician.
In February of 1989, at the age of 30, he was called to serve as the Senior Pastor/Teacher of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Arverne, Queens, New York. He was officially installed as pastor in May. While serving as pastor the Lord blessed him to transform the ministry and build up the people of God through the word. He served as pastor of Mt. Carmel for 18 years until his resignation in August of 2006.
Not only did the Lord bless him in his pastoral ministry but also allowed him to serve in many different positions such as:
1. a Trustee, on the Board of Managers, the Board of Evangelism, the Advisory Board and as the Recording Secretary of the Eastern Baptist Association of New York, Inc.
2. Vice Moderator of Queens County to the Eastern Baptist Association of New York, Inc. (under 2 different administrations)
3. Vice Moderator and Director of Music of the Interstate Believers' Association
4. Appointed by Dr. Henry J. Lyons to serve as the Executive Secretary of the Trusted Partners' Men's Ministry of the National Baptist Convention U.S.A, Inc.
He presently serves as the Minister of Music of the Galilee Baptist Church of Trenton, New Jersey under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. John H. Harris, Jr.
He is married to the former Ms. Danielle Lynn Witsell and is the proud father of 4 children (from a previous marriage): Eugene Anthony, 22, the Rev. Adrian De'Shon, 20, Shayla Tamar, 16, and Avery Terrell Reid, 13.
Continue to lift him up in prayer in this transitional period that he is in, for we know that God will elevate him once again to pastoral ministry.
